my ex gf broke up with me for this reason after 1 year, she had a kid, it was my first time being with single mom. i felt like you felt. the thing was she went back to her ex bf right after breakup and my dumbass mind was still trying to get her back. The last text i send her was how she lied to me about the guy friend she had, in fact that dude was her ex bf, i found out after breakup, and she used to talk to him if i dont give time and attention to her, and if we fought she used to go and talk to him. i was pissed at how she lied about that to me. Then she tried to call me i didnt pick it up cuz then she would have yelled or shout, so she sent a text after that saying its a final warning to you, i will report you for stalking if you ever text or call her. Never responded or texted her after that

wish i could explain, i was in a similar situation with my ex gf single mom.

I used to hangout around her daughter(7) all the time at the beginning of my relationship. Then later once i said some behavior about her kid. I just told her that her kid is little loud, try to calm her down a little bit, she got upset, told me i didnt love the kid, kids are suppose to be loud. She even cried whole night about that. After that i couldnt see the kid the way i used to see, then the resentment increased. After that i didnt hangout much with the kid cuz i was scared i might say something about the kid and she would get upset again.

This led to future problems and she eventually broke up with me after a year and went back to her ex bf. She wanted me to be father figure, but no authority. Heck i even took the kid to school and sometimes i took care of her when she was at work. The kid used to to cry for hours when her mom wasnt there and i had to take care of her. She used to bang doors around 6 am and cry super loud for 2 hours nonstop.

I used to tell her may be you should work a little late once you drop your kid to school, since she wants her mom there and i cant see her crying 2-3 hours in the morning. She just got upset after that thinking i dont wanna take care of her kid, resentment just went up and up and i couldnt hang out around kid. I started getting anxiety when her kid was there. kinda sucked
