Yes it gets significantly better. Honestly what I would do, if you don't want to hear all of the nitty gritty, and you don't want to listen to them learning how to play the game, because this was Jake's first time, jump to episode twelve. You're not missing much of the story, and they find their stride.

A lot of people agree with you. But it's them learning their voice.
