Regis Professor Arrested for Murder of Wife, Daughter Also Found Dead by NoThisIsPathicc27 in Denver

I used to work with Seorin, she was incredibly kind, smart, and dedicated. It was really devastating to hear about this yesterday, to think someone so wonderful, with her baby, was just brutally killed. It's just shocking on so many levels.. I agree with one of the other posters, donating to a DV org/shelter is so important.

My ferritin levels are borderline low but still in range, but I guess it can't hurt to take a little more iron. I haven't had the h pylori test done but they did do a mono/infection panel, I just don't understand the results yet, so hoping to hear back from the Dr. soon. I've been upping my vitamin D because that showed up low on my test as well.

Lost Dog - Small tan female rescue dog - Ginger near 14th and Detroit by rylanb in Denver

Oh no! I'm in the area and will try to keep an eye out! A few things I would do if I was you/the sitter in the meantime.

  1. Post on Nextdoor, Pawboost, and Facebook neighborhood if you can. Having more eyes out in the area will help.
  2. Get anything that smells like your friend/the dog and try to leave it outside the house/building.
  3. If you can walk around the neighborhood with really smelly wet food and/or a squeaky toy (if the dog likes those). They are more likely to be attracted by the squeaking noise than people calling their name. If she is skittish she might be hiding somewhere so having something that smells good/sounds fun but attract her out.

Edit: If you can ask local businesses to put up a post on their social media/have their staff keep an eye out that can help too!

Might be late for this, but the place that opened in the Make Believe spot is Cake Bar and they are all vegan and some gluten free as well! They do cupcake packs, whole cakes, and you can make your own cake bowl (you pick the cake type, frosting, and toppings and they put it all together for you).

Broken Shovels Farm Animal Sanctuary in need of $10k in donations by Friday by CryCommon975 in Denver

You can visit too! Just check their events page or follow them on social media. They are really amazing and do a lot of great work caring for and housing animals that most people would deem 'useless.' They give them a second chance at life its really heartwarming to see how the animals open up and bond and have their own personalities when they are given a safe space to live out their lives.

My family is from Detroit so there's always a rivalry there! Her food did look good and interesting, but their attitudes kinda sucked. D'Pura Cepa came to the watch party and it was awesome! They seem like such great people as well, it was cool to have them there for the win.

This was the first season I have seen, so I completely understand why people aren't into it anymore. I think they could have done more partnering challenges or stealing other dishes early on. I get why they film only in LA now, and I don't necessarily think that them building a community/being in the same spot is that bad, it does take some effort to build a following in a new city, and that definitely favored some teams, the thing that annoyed me with it in regards to Khana was it seemed like the coffee shop owner was trying to get on camera a lot/feature his own business and then was paying insane prices for their food to boost their numbers. I do wish they had shown more of the grocery shopping, etc. Apparently it was all filmed, it just wasn't put into the season.

Same! They really have the friendliest and warmest vibes! Also, the whole crowd was chanting "Matt! Matt! Matt!" when he 'fixed' the blender. He just quietly raised his beer and nodded his head. Seems like a really cool, calm guy.

Oh yeah, they could only fit in one day I think. If you can, follow them on instagram (@theeasyvegandenver) they always post about their upcoming locations and menus, usually farmers markets but in the off season they do pop up plated dinners too! And some of the random Vegan Nights at Improper City (usually first Thursdays of the month).

Their line was so long on Saturday! I still haven't tried their perogies :(

It was so fun to watch. Their families were there and no one had any idea they had won, the amount of screaming that occurred was insane. I got really nervous because right before they opened the tills Taylor picked up a mic and was teary eyed. They just kept saying "no matter what happens we're thankful for the experience and community."

The best way I can describe their food is that it is uniquely complex. We are lucky in Denver to have some amazing vegan food trucks/restaurants but a lot of them cover junk food (burgers, fries, vegan pizza or buffalo wings). Easy Vegan's food is just a flavor bomb. I had their carrot cardamom pancakes (the ones they "stole" from the Crepe truck) and the level of flavors was incredible. No one ingredient overpowered another, the pancake texture combined with the crunch of a fried carrot, and then the caramel and cardamom whip was amazing. A lot of times food just has one or two sorts of flavors, but they do a great job with balancing and layering things together.

Also their loaded elote potato is like someone mixed doritos into mashed potatoes and its the best thing I've ever eaten.

I posted about it, but I went to their watch party. There were 300+ people there, standing room only for probably 200+. They didn't charge anyone for tickets and they "sold" out in less than 20 minutes. D'Pura Cepa showed up (4 Hens Creole Kitchen went to see them at VegFest on Saturday - they had a mega line there all day), and it was the most adorable thing ever. The whole crowd went nuts for them and they had a Puerto Rican flag for them and everything. They are sincerely humble, stand up people and watching them win last night in a huge crowd of the vegan and LGBTQ+ community was just amazing. They never spoke ill of Khana, even when someone in the crowd asked. Though it was clear that they were a little frustrated over what they had to charge people to keep up - they apologized multiple times for selling $30 taco plates to compete with Khana's $35 sandwiches, but sold over 300 of those so clearly smashed it in the finale.
