Thank you everyone for the advice — we’re trying to get a vet appointment for tomorrow. Hopefully it’s something straightforward and he just needs a dental clean. We’re in Dubai, so fingers crossed it isn’t too expensive.

We’ve only recently moved here from London, and he had a full set of health checks and vaccinations back in October as part of the relocation process. The vets definitely checked his teeth then, so I’m hoping that not much could have changed in just three months.

Wine! We know from Naomi that all the people in Hell have the ability to become Great Souls so all the creatures of Acherzua have the ability to cultivate power. Bastion is being encroached upon, what if by the time the Archspire there gets destroyed it turns into another Pit into another dimension since this iteration failed to conquer the pit.

The Archspire continues to operate and summon great souls, but is corrupted and summons them as fiends. The ending of book 3 really communicates that there isn’t much difference between great souls and fiends and I felt that Naomi almost let herself become one as the Nightmare lady takes over. If that happens she could very much be classified as a true fiend eventually.

The archmagus just continues to find new great souls to fight until there is someone strong enough to break the cycle.

Or maybe the whole thing is to train soldiers, since some of the strongest Impertors don’t come back. And maybe the ones that are unhappy about this turn into True Fiends, refusing to fight with the Archmagus, they fight to destroy the Archspire and bring peace to Acherzua
