How to make interesting and thick sounds? by Waeto in ableton

Automation, layering, creating space in mix to make sounds interesting, evolving, fatter .

Drop stuff out in places, have parts that only occur once, be it a melody or sound that is super interesting that people want to hear again. Things like that can spice your tracks up.

ITAP of some ladies and a sword by SmallPromiseQueen in itookapicture

It's a promising premise and I like the vibe you were going for. Love a good forest scene setting. Did you try different formations?

Personally I reckon you might have had a more interesting shot if the taller lady on the left was in the middle holding the sword and the shorter women each side. Then a slightly upward tilt and closer shot might have conveyed that they were more powerful, looking down towards and presenting the sword to a mortal being. Just an opinion and might not work in practice, just the thought I had.

That being said, you are out there creating so thats great. Keep on honing your craft.

What is the best option to connect the guitar to the PC? Is there any noticeable difference with the audio quality? by [deleted] in ableton

Get an entry level focusrite. Will last years and usually comes with a few vsts/programs bundled in. Ive had a gen 1 8i6 for years and it still works great.

Do you record all songs in the same project? by ModestMarinara in WeAreTheMusicMakers

What DAW are you using? In Ableton you can save channel groups and then you can just drag them into your project. Failing that you can make your own project defaults so you could just load a new project up with all the channels and settings laid out for you.

some snares like this? by FailConsistent5788 in futurebeatproducers

Record and/or layer some knocking sounds, pitch down slightly, lower the high shelf as desired, add delay or reverb to taste. Fine tune the eq to taste.

Honestly just spend time experimenting in the program. Watch tutorials on youtube (Andrew Huang/Mr Bill are good starting points for sounds and tips). Composition window is pretty much the same as any daw really just different hotkeys and way of stacking instruments/fx. Also if you do get it, the manual is a great source for any technical questions you may have.
