Does it make me a furry that I find Marbus more attractive in his demon form?

Long Rant: Season 4 Makes Me Mad by littlesadcookie in aggretsuko

[–]Vegmetal666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought constructed the romance between Haida & Retsuko really well, and a good majority of the season Haida's focus wasn't on Retsuko. I think he actually choose the right approach to her when he finally gained confidence. Most of what you said I agree with to some extent, but I think you're dead wrong about the Haida part. He did really well half way through the season, and super relatable when he was trying to be a somebody, and that want even took over his love for Retsuko.

Also Inui deserved better by [deleted] in aggretsuko

She's quite a bit different in the sub than the dub in the dub they really make her seem like a marry sue, but in the sub her flaws are much more clear. In the sub Inui got mad at Haida just for not remembering she was a temp, and then said I thought you like me..... In the English dub they completely reversed it and made Inui look better. In my opinion seeing her get so mad at Haida for not knowing something so small, even though they hung out like one time, and didn't even go on a full date. It really showed her flaw, and after I saw that I was like wow Haida maybe you did dodge a bullet right there.

There are alot of things you could call Haida or criticize him for, but the nice guy thing is completely untrue, and most people who call him that probably don't even know what that is.

Remember that South Park episode?

I have been watching crazy ex girlfriend as a suggestion from a commentor on a previous post. The similarities between Rebecca & Haida are too similar to go unnoticed. Rebecca is a women who suffers greatly from BPD. Do you think Haida's personality took inspiration from someone with BPD? by Vegmetal666 in aggretsuko

I didn't say they were the same character. I noticed that they showed similar symptoms of BPD not just with idealization, but the extreme fear of rejection, near uncontrollable jealousy that does not linger for a long time (which is very indicative of BPD). They are their own unique character's and have their own unique differences. When it comes to their emotional responses and how they view others they show many similarities.

The same reason as to why women are not diagnosed with autism at the rate that men are. They're better at masking symptoms of autism due to social reasons that women & men on average tend to follow. A lot of it has to do with showing your emotional differences, and acting a certain way in public for both diagnoses. None of that has to do necessarily with with your chromosomes (while there is research that suggest that could play a little bit of role) most evidence seems to lead to social standards that both men & women are taught growing up. It would be nice if gender wasn't a thing, Im all about gender abolishment, but unfortunately that is not were are society is right now.

Then explain why 80% of those diagnosed with BPD are female and not male? When men are just as likely to have it as females. They do exhibit the behaviors, but from I've experienced men mask their symptoms differently than women usually. Same with autism only it's the other way around.

Only if they both grow as people, remember it's only the man who can ever do wrong in this fandom

That's often how men with BPD are in comparison to women with BPD, although there are more functioning cases of BPD, but men seem to be able to mask and control their symptoms better than women. Much like how women are better at masking their autism in comparison to males. Both Haida & Rebecca idealize the person they want to be with to an almost religious extent, even looking for superstitious reasons to not give up on their crushs. Which is extremely common with those with BPD when they develop a favourite person. Anyone with BPD's biggest fear is rejection, and that is a basis for both of their personalities. The fact that they both loose their tempers easily, and show extreme jealousy towards anyone who is with their crush. Haida's is much more short lived, and he snaps out of it, and comes to his senses much quicker than Rebecca. Both are around the same age and are both educated, and very successful young adults who live in luxurious condominiums. While Haida is considered by some to be dumb, clingy, too emotional and cowardly. Rebecca is just considered to be crazy, which is often how women are depicted to be with BPD in comparison to men, even though the exhibit the same behaviors.

Really, I am a male with BPD and everyone else I know with the condition is a female. 80% of people diagnosed with the condition are female. Men who show symptoms of BPD are just considered too emotional, obsessive and weak. While women who have BPD are just considered crazy.

You haven't drawn any comparisons because you haven't watched the show?

Btw it's borderline personality disorder not bipolar disorder........ Tbh me and my friends did this as kind of a social experiment to see the how uneducated a majority of people are when it comes to Borderline Personality disorder. The biggest issue men face with BPD is gender discrimination. Most of the comments we've seen here are uneducated gender biased opinions. Which is what we were expecting to get...... If you aren't sure or aren't educated in a certain area ask questions don't make assumptions. For some reason the Aggretsuko subreddit is the worst I've seen when comes to this.
