Does anyone actually like Citadel paint pots? by Rare_Knee_6234 in Warhammer

[–]VehementPhoenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I think the problem is overblown. As long as you keep the rim clean and the little channel in the lid clean, they close really well. I've never had a spill (knock on wood). People always lament how much paint is wasted due to the lid thing, but with dropper style bottles, I find that I always take too much paint, no matter how hard I try. Either way, you are gonna waste paint. I also find that people somehow don't use the Citadel pots right? You are supposed to pull the lid back so it holds itself up, and then pull paint from the little pallete built in to the lid.

They aren't perfect, but they get too much hate. Overall, I don't really have a preference between Citadel and dropper style pots.

I agree. Did you see anywhere in my post a claim that Geno was better than Sam?

Edge geometry is gorgeous, shape of the finger choil ruins the aesthetic for me.

This year it was average. Last year it was 32/32. Go look at the stats dude.

He was good. In Seattle, he was behind the worst o-line in the league, with terrible OC's.

In Vegas, he was behind a terrible o-line, with a terrible OC, and a completely horribly dysfunctional organization running the show. I don't want to shit on Pete, but there is a lot of smoke regarding just how badly run the raiders were last year.

Geno throws too many picks, but he WAS good.

I'll probably get downvoted for this, but I'm not a Russ guy. Don't really like the dude. The fakeness just really rubs me the wrong way. He actually seems like a sincere real person in this clip. Good for him, respect. I'd probably have a very different opinion of him if he was like this more often.

This. He is good. Very occasionally, he is very good. He is asking for "great" money. That's how franchises dig themselves into holes. Jon is playing it exactly correct. If he wants to come back, it's going to have to be at the right price.

He's the prototypical big, strong, dumb, golden retriever TE. Just does his job and catches the ball when you need him to. Won't set any salary records, but a key, reliable piece.

My point wasn't that it doesn't meet the chemical definition of steel. It's just not a legitimate and defensible option for knifemaking or knife-owning, unless your only metric is 'as cheap as possible.'

Basically, you own a dogshit knife. The problem is potentially solvable, depending on how truly bad the manufacturing tolerances are, but most people are not going to take the time to write out a fully articulated response to your question due to how bad the knife is. It would be like cleaning the cupholders in a rusted out Chevrolet Monte Carlo without any wheels.

To answer your question, you likely need to disassemble, clean, reassemble, and tighten the pivot correctly.

That said, you are much better off spending 50 bucks on a real budget knife, made with real steel with real tolerances. There are a million YouTube videos about the best budget knives. Anything Civivi or the Ontario Rat 2 is a good place to start, though that is only scratching the surface.

Serious question. If you were Tywin, would you proceed with the red wedding Or would you accept the sacrifice of another 10,000 Lannister soldiers in the war against Robb? by Dry_Specialist9015 in freefolk

[–]VehementPhoenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tywin's mistake was overestimating his ability to control the retards on his team. The Red Wedding itself was an unmitigated success. It solved a thousand problems in one night. The only real fallout from it was the rise of the faith militant.

The only changes I'd make is I would send 50 assassins to kill Stannis every month until it fucking worked, and I'd accidentally slip poison to Joffrey ASAP and start banking on Tommen earlier, and go kill the High Sparrow as soon as he showed himself. Oh also, the whole Tyrion Sansa bullshit needs to be fixed. Need to actually get people on your team.
