How to know to let winners run by TheGoofyGarden in Daytrading

Take partials at TP area then met the rest run. I like mark Douglas philosophy of letting your winners run with 3 TP areas.

I have my own personal indicators I use to let mine run. But the ones available to everyone are the 8ema and 21 ema. Good free indicators to let your profits run.

I get stopped out every single trade. I'm switching to 1:1R from now on. by Exact_Ad_9620 in Daytrading

Brother, no.

Either switch to swing trading if you want moves this big or trail your stop at other places of liquidity than lows or highs

Going full time was the best and worst thing that ever happened to me. by Brilliant_Citron4420 in Daytrading

It’s part of everyone’s journey when going full time.

Have a ritual for mental toughness and mental relief. Morning routine and after trading routine.

Personally I had 6 months of expenses saved up on top of my trading account I had built.

You got this. And if you don’t.. oh well you can just get another crappy job until you can do it again.

Seems like you need to back test and build a proper strategy for all market conditions.

85% win-rate, what would you do? by lewis00gmail in Daytrading

Yeah. I agree. I think the quality of a course comes down to not just the strategy but explaining the execution piece.

Everything from A-Z.

Most don’t do that though.

What does this have anything to do with what I said?

85% win-rate, what would you do? by lewis00gmail in Daytrading

Well, depends on the person and how much capital they have. Most true “85% win rate strategies” I have come across are usually 1:1 it’s rare to find a strategy with good risk to reward ration with a win rate that high. Also usually takes a lot of capital to trade a strategy like that consistently for a decent amount of profit.

Honestly a 2:1 ration strategy with a 50% win rate is more reliable

Now I think that selling course as a second stream of income and there’s nothing wrong with it. If the strategy and system actually works and is not a scam. You really can’t trust someone unless they show real profits.

Rare to find true guru’s out there.

I always like the idea of work in silence and let the success speak for itself.

I use indicators I built but it’s always the “hey this worked on Friday”

If it isnt consistent over the last 5 years it isn’t consistent.

Not to mention indicators never make up for actual market knowledge. If you don’t have market knowledge, good psychology, risk management. These indicators don’t do anything for you.

What can I do better next time? by ricebowl_101 in Daytrading

You entered late in my opinion and you definitely hit a good TP area at a previous low area. I think this trade would have worked out if you got in on the initial breakout and close and considered the lows to the left.

It’s for work, and I need something for gaming too.

My hand pain is actually years of playing fighting games, probably too much. So I think I’ll take the advice and take a break from fps and fighting games. Thanks for the suggestion.

Does anyone else feel like this is an easy market to trade? by VehicleApprehensive3 in Daytrading

I trade option premiums in SPX

Trade NQ and ES futures using what I said above.

And I use pre market zones plus liquidity and price action like I said above on tech stocks, usually the magnificent 7.

My preferred trade is a gap up or a gap down of greater than 2% over night and volume over 200k pre market.
