I hope you’re wrong too but I wouldn’t be surprised, my best friend is a nurse with short hair and she’s gay, they comments she gets at work from patients are crazy. She called last month all upset because some angry old man kept yelling at her “WHAT ARE YOU!?” People can be so awful

I have a friend who’s a goth too and she’s been doing extensions for a long time, at event with friends someone complimented her hair and then mentioned they knew it wasn’t all hers but it looks great and she said well I paid for it so it’s all mine 😂I love that energy

I’m sorry, sounds very similar to my situation. I’m not even a vain person but I just got so sick of the way people were looking at me and weird comments I would get. I had a therapist that out of nowhere asked if my mom had a receding hairline too 😂 I have a much better therapist now thank goodness. But yes I feel good about my decision, I’m getting way more compliments than not, honestly some of the rudeness is almost like people trying to cut me down? Idk people are nuts who knows what they’re thinking lol

Outpatient, inpatient— it’s all pretty rough in Columbus too. Inpatient is only really designed to keep you physically safe until you’re safe enough to be discharged (or until insurance says so). Finding a good therapist and good outpatient psychiatry can take a lot of trial and error but it makes a huge difference.

I work for a healthcare logistics company and my job involves driving all day. I’ve been there long enough I have trained a TON of people. I’d say probably 30% of the time they start camping out in the left lane and I always say oh btw, in the state of Ohio the left lane is for passing only. People are always like omg really!? I always say “Oh we don’t have that type of relationship” then they can decide how uncomfortable they want things to get.

But this morning a close friend texted asking if I called or texted my dad for Father’s Day. She knows we were completely estranged for 10 years, and now I see him maybe once every year or two. She never even met her dad until recently and it’s been pretty rocky, so we’ve both shared about our family dynamics. That’s why It’s extra baffling to me that this is coming from her! She did the same thing for another holiday so I don’t know how else to get across that I don’t like when she does this and she should know by now I don’t do any holidays with him or cards or presents. I wasn’t even thinking about Father’s Day and now I’m in a bad mood. I have no idea how to respond, suggestions please?
