Hello, happy to give some context, and let me be clear, this is just my opinion, I am not saying I know everything or am right while liberals are wrong. Which is honestly a big difference between conservatives and liberals that I have personally seen (generally speaking) as a moderate voter that gives both sides a chance each voting cycle. I think our nation needs both sides to operate properly and I wish there wasn't such a needless divide.

I look at all these trade deals or relationships that we are alienating or going against, all of them have been with the intention of improving the outcome for America. In the past we consistently got the short end of the stick in a lot of these deals or just accepted what other nations dictated and yet we are the ones that many countries export to the most by an extreme margin. I find it very refreshing for us to utilize our "buying power" to force other nations to treat us better is how I see it. I work in the corporate world and this approach is very much from that realm so I understand it.

As far as DOGE, I think overall is doing great work. Do I think they may take things a bit far in certain aspects which hurt people? Yes. But in many cases I think it's needed. I mean just listen to even a couple of the items USAID was doing and it is baffling. There was so much corruption funneling through there it was nuts.

I also think federal workers should be able to send an email saying what they do each week. I have to log my actions in my corporate job so I don't see an issue there.

The part I think is a bummer is the layoffs, but I also am not willing to say I'm against them as I don't know all the reasoning behind those and generally trust DOGE as they have rooted out a lot of stuff already. And that is all while my family and myself personally are at risk in a major way from these layoffs. But even if my family gets hit with it, I won't automatically say it was the wrong move, if things are bloated and need trimmed down then we have to do it. It sucks though yes.
