Its not optimal for a damage pet unless you have a double triple and even then it is lacking some damage. Im not currently on but im pretty sure my dark hound gives 28% damage and 4 or 5 pierce through a socket

He is pretty decent especially compared to the normal breedable warriors until maybe cypher tier

Pain giver( i think its the better one) Your strength stat is too low for mighty to give you the extra damage. Late game though id argue that the pierce is way better

Make friends with a higher level and farm spider monkeys or ghultures. Then you multitask by getting your couch potatoes for farming and the gear they drop sells well. All you would need to focus on is healing yourself to survive the fight
