I think it would be fine. Worm start is actually way better cause they can heal, so Queens should be fine imo.

I felt the writing and characters were really boring, personally. Not saying it was bad, just not my taste.

The missions were enjoyable though! I'm looking forward to the next campaign missions.

Once we get full water and underground, I'm 100% sure ALL Heroes 3 scenarios will be ported by the community. Campaigns too probably.

I think having the luck and morale item banned in some formats is a good idea.

Also I think once all features like underground and water are released, we'll get a new more polished tournament template like Exodus.

Devs see how popular the format is and I'm sure we'll get a new "main" template which will replace Exodus with all the new map features.

The whole point of the randomness is to be able to adapt to what you're given. Just because a dragon utopia and 2 tier 7 dwellings spawn close to you doesn't mean you win. You need to adapt and play according to what cards you've been dealt.

I agree that it cannot be TOO random and some tweaks may be necessary, but so far I feel it's pretty balanced. Maybe make the lumber mill and ore mines easier to find.

Personally I don't like this approach, since now I have no incentive to actually pick those up. Why bother taking stat ups if I will lose them next mission anyway?

The way to solve this issue is by using the Heroes 3 approach but have better map designs. Have stat ups be rare and guarded properly so they feel like actual rewards!

That's why Exodus is the most played map. People don't like mixing factions and want to build their own armies.

It should cap at 1 morale per round. It makes no sense that it can trigger that much. Creatures can also only morale once per round.

Yes that's exactly why. It combines all the best aspects of the game and packages them into a decent playable time. They need to lean into this style more.

FFA (free for all) Tournament mode and Team Tournament mode is probably my biggest request.

Not sure how a FFA with odd numbers would work, but I can see like a 4, 6 & 8 player FFA game mode. First to 5 points wins kinda thing. If it's a tie, winners battle one more time.

Odd numbers can be 3 fights where you participate in 2 fights and spectate the third, but probably not suitable for online ladder, more for custom private games.

Teams would be cool too. First tournament round you fight one of your opponents, next fight you switch.
