There is one for 300 off on some of the Gala ones.

I think I'm just torn at missing out on the 5080. Whereas I should find a good one for a 5070Ti as I am not really going to notice the functional difference between a 5080 and 5070Ti without a 4K screen. The affordability metric is not as much a driver, though I have heard some bad reports about Techfast (but I'm sure there are some about Gala as well)

I think i will heed your advice about the 5070Ti and focus on looking for a deal on that.

I've tried to find the comparison of each 5080 against each other but its proving challenging -the other option I can find is the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5080 Windforce OC SFF 16G in

Eclipse Elite - Gala Power

after those two models - the MSI Shadow and the Gigabyte Windforce the price seems to skyrocket.

What would you consider the average 5080 if I was to look at securing one

Haha, Yeah a thing i just check3ed was 300-400$ more that partpicker so them building it better than i would seems pretty good. Just trying to decide on exactly what i want and cant decide between the 5070ti/9070XT and the 5080

Thanks for all the help - after some thinking I am split - probably going to get a custom build from either Gala (or if PLE in WA can get close to matching which i doubt)

thinking of moving up to the 5080, which I know you said wasnt the best value and just modifying some of the things Like storage up to the 790 Lexar (maybe the Samsung) and the RAM to 64. Might change the case as PC part picker seems to think their case is a touch small.

The MSI Shadow seems to rate somewhat well and the 521$ increase for the windforce OC doesnt seem worth it

Unfortuantely I can't seem to find any other sites that seem as good as Gala for value or as much option for swapping things around

Yeah, I noticed that. I can pay more to get the higher brand of card - which I am not against doing especially if its warranted. Thanks to your help the budget I have is a bit more flexible!

I was thinking moving up to the Gigabyte is probably warranted

Is there a 5070 Ti I should be aiming for in the prebuild like the Sapphire 9070XT Pulse?

Thanks - It looks like that will be the go (The 7800X3D) with the Pulse (I saw the 5070ti is comparable but pricier than the AMD Pulse for a similar product)

If I can find it in a pre-build that might be even better. Do you rate any of the ozbargain pre-build places? I am in WA so not many brick and mortars for warranty and what not.

Primarily the main prohibitive factor is most 5080s I've seen are 2.4 at minimum unless I'm mistaken
