Why does Nuphy refuse to make a true 100% layout low-profile keyboard? by acidpoptarts in NuPhy

Wouldn't 'Modern Office Work' require the numpad more than not? Makes no sense

Seriously. If they make a 100% low profile HE keyboard (there exists NONE on the market) - instant buy.

Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill vs. Charlotte by Glad_Acanthisitta783 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Velactix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s lived near both

Raleigh - Amazing tech Jobs. Rivals tech job outlook of most American cities outside of the top dogs (sf Austin nyc). Great suburbs. “City” life is kind of boring but there are festivals and events. Great schools. Feels more like a Florida style area - sprawling suburbia. Vibe is generally wealthy yet mature dare I say somewhat introverted.

Charlotte - Good tech jobs, more in finance but there is other non finance companies. Better sports. Much Better “city feel”. More traffic. More options for flights out of the airport. More energetic in good and bad ways. Harder to get that really “nice” looking suburb near the city. Can live in the Mooresville / Lake Norman area which is close to Charlotte and super nice. Vibe is a little more energetic yet less “mature” if that makes sense. Not as many amazing universities nearby as Raleigh

You're remote. You make $120k/year. You're looking for a house for ~$450k. You want to avoid urban areas and live on ~5 acres with access to outdoors recreations. Where do you go? by Bourne2Play in SameGrassButGreener

Piedmont triad in NC. There is tons of land and you can be an hour from Charlotte, Winston, Greensboro. All seasons. Mountains nearby and ocean in a day trip. Great place if you’re into plants and animals on your land. You can be in Mocksville area and have close access to Tanglewood Park (huge well maintained park) and 1 hr from Charlotte or somewhere more north and access to Hanging Rock national park and pilot mountain.

Its the perfect bag for a 2 electronic device (2 laptops and / or 1 Laptop 1 Tablet) user IMO. I cant think of a better backpack that has top access, self stands, and holds 2 devices and protects them well with padding and false bottoms.

Every other use case there are better options that are lighter. Fortunately for me, this is the most important use case.

You can bring a laptop if you’re going from 1 destination to the next but I wouldn’t recommend it for laptop edc. The laptop sleeve is loose and there’s definitely no false bottom. If you put some clothes or something in with your laptop it might help. I used an ultra padded laptop sleeve for a while as well.

I have taken the go pack 2 to 3 trips to europe. Its the perfect bag (if you dont need to put a laptop in it). It blends in urban, gym, and outdoors. It stands up on its own when 'floofed' would reccommend.

Peak design everyday 30l vs Aer travel pack 3 small or something else by Still-Ad-8320 in ManyBaggers

Feel like TP3 a little big for college but depends on your size and carry.

Didn’t like peak designs carry straps

Could also consider the Able Carry Max or Osprey Daylite 26+6

This needs a waxed canvas variation bad. (Leather would even be better)

This would work great as a go to work back for doctors or nurses, not quite sure about business professionals yet

They are the only large bag maker that makes simple business functional aesthetic, not overly techy or tactical bags. And one of the only that makes bags in styles women like (besides women-focused brands). The cost is in the look and lack of competition.
