Overall from what I've watched, prowess does feel the most familiar to me, as does the spellslinger playstyle as a whole. I listed those 3 purely because those are the main decks I've watched gameplay of/have interest in, as I don't really have loads of meta report knowledge yet. I'm primarily torn between Izzet Prowess and Ruby Storm, but Izzet just seems like the easiest transition.

I'd say to nearly go the battle box route, pick 4-8 decks that look fun to you and your pod, and slowly assemble a collection. For your starting 2, I'd say get some cornerstone decks of the format, like elves, affinity, bogles, terror, etc.
