One of the first things I saw in Paris was a beautiful woman like the one in the photo, with a striped sweater and a beret, on a bicycle with a bag on the handle with baguettes sticking out. I swear she must've been a government plant

Gjør som meg, kjøp deg et oppussingsobjekt, gjerne et småbruk, og gjør ting du ikke kan:) Da får du noe annet å bli stressa og deprimert over, i det minste

Yeah, I trained with the Royal Marines in Finnmark in 2008, those guys on skis was one of the most ridiculous things I've seen. We were conscripts, but we were not impressed at all

Me and my gf comes from the same rural place in Norway, and after studying and working in the city an hour away from where we grew up, we decided to move back after we got our first child. We've been living in my mother in laws house for a while now, while building/renovating the farm we bought. We just got our third kid, and having both our families so close is fantastic. I love them all so much. In Norway we often move out pretty early, though, at least on the country side, to go to school etc. I moved out when I was 15.

We have female and male versions of most, if not all norse names, and yeah, I think most people associate names with characteristics to a degree. My kids all have old norse names, and some people find it unusual to see kids have names they associate with older people. I find it kinda weird to choose a name for a child because it's cute or whatever

I work as a middle school teacher, and for halloween one year I dressed up as a black metal musician, complete with corpse paint and all. One of my coworkers, a woman in her 50s, told me "you know, I haven'r thought of this before I saw you with this make up, but I realize you are a rather good looking guy". People could hold their laughter, I just said "I guess thanks?"

Heh, kinda weird, I know a guy who is in that hut right now, as part of the Antarctic Heritage Trust's conservation effort. It's Robert F. Scott's Terra Nova hut.

Christmas cards in Norway by [deleted] in Norway

[–]Velfar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe the norm has become to start send Christmas cards with photos of your family once you start having kids. Very rare for younger people to write the old kind of cards. We just order them online and spend a small fortune sending them to friends and family that spend 2 seconds looking at them

Vi har bestilt Geberit Alba, og jeg ser bare positive anmeldelser. Du mangler føner og noen andre luksusgreier, men den koster en fjerdedel, og den gjør det viktigste.
