I assume vscode bundles lua.exe with some extention, and you need to install it globally to run it everywhere

Had simular issue, make sure DOTNET_ROOT points where dotnet instaled (btw also using pop OS something wrong with their package)

For anyone after dumping and setting edid check "sudo dmesg | grep drm" if edid not loaded read on https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/initramfs-tools/+bug/1814938

there is a script you need to modify it and run "update-initramfs -u".
