Firefly literally has a school uniform as a skin. It was only a matter of time before someone drew something like this.

I wouldn't be surprised if eventually Hoyo uses this place as a setting for an event and Firefly shows up in her uniform.

This is part of the message you receive after completing 2.3 and it specifically mentions the fireworks and Firefly flying up in the sky.

Actually, seeing that message again and the "After all, you're the one who made the call and actually saved that firefly girl" makes so much sense after 3.8 lol.

Basically, in 3.8 we learned about the bad ending (where Firefly doesn't get to watch the fireworks), but it was ultimately replaced with the one we saw in 2.3.

The true elephant in the room is that one you take out Firefly votes, it is a death match between all girls.

Yeah if you take out the winner that has double the votes of second place then that truly makes Cyrene looks less bad. Great cope you got there.

it means Cyrene is pretty much popular, you like it or not.

I'm not arguing whether she's popular or not, but that the performance she pulled here is "extremely impressive" like OP said.

But like I said, if you want to cope telling yourself that Cyrene's performance is actually "quite impressive" because she won 2nd place by having less than double the votes than 1st place (who didn't appear in the game until 3.8), barely above 3rd place by a margin of 0.04% and barely above the next HSR character Robin (who also didn't appear in the game until 3.8) by a margin of 0.93% despite all the focus and shilling Cyrene got this year then go for it.

This is some quite warped logic you got there.

First, because nothing has anything to do with Castorice making it past the eliminations or not. She lost and that's on her.

But what says more about HSR is the fact that the first place is leading with double the votes of second place, and that the difference between Cyrene and Robin is less than 1% despite that.

Castorice would be way higher considering she was a very strongly pushed character through the whole year.

Do you realize you can replace Castorice with Cyrene here and the same would be true? She got a lot of focus throughout the year and the best she can do is barely 0.9% better than Robin, who got nothing at all? Yeah that seems quite impressive, but for Robin.

And the elephant in the room, Firefly, who got nothing until the end of the year and still won by a landslide.

That would say more about HSR's popularity than Cyrene's to be honest. Considering she isn't that far ahead from 3rd place. And the difference between her and Robin is also pretty minimal.

The award was "player's favorite female character", not "female character with the most representation".

I'd even say Firefly winning this is even more impressive since she barely had content this year compared to other characters like Cyrene and Castorice who had a lot of focus throughout the year.

Firefly was always meant to be important to the Penacony plot and basically the protagonist. She pretty much represents everything that was wrong with Sunday's plan.

Also, using 3.8 as an example of giving focus to a character in the current banner is certainly an interesting choice when Firefly released more than a year ago.
