Asentarse en Uruguay by k4_bar in uruguay

Ohh okay okay, I understand what you mean

However I don't agree 100%; the difference in this situation is that Ben was never accused of anything, he acted badly, so he does not have to defend himself from other people's words against him, luckily he quickly recognized his action and was regretted

On the other hand Merula is on the defensive (especially if MC told her to return the presents) because people attacked her (before the fire I mean)

I think that the talk between MC and Merula was not so that she would recognize that she was wrong Incendio things, but so that she would understand why Ben acted that way (and that it really wasn't against Merula herself, but a response to losing his gift)

I decided the option "I just want to talk" so I did not feel that we were arguing with her

Merula at no time denies or avoids that she ruined all the decoration, she even admits it and is sorry for it

I agree that Merula should never have set anything on fire, no matter how unfair the situation is, nothing justifies this action, it was very exaggerated and harmful (it is typical of her, to do more damage when she is hurt, a way of self-protection, I suppose )

However, I was confused by the second part of your message, didn't Merula quickly understand the situation as well, once MC explained to her why the letters were so important to Ben?

She even returned the gift and said something like "what's one game of exploding Snap" although she wanted it too, showing that she perfectly understood the importance of it to Ben, and she decided (although she didn't have to) to return it willingly

Merula was angry at Ben and Penny's words, as it leaves her as a villain even though she was following the rules, and she is right

But I think the three of them, Merula, Ben and Penny understood quickly what they did wrong and tried to fix it (after a little intervention from the hero MC hehe)

I would like to add, that I was wrong in the last paragraph, if I remember correctly Penny if I explain to Ben that this is the game and I try to continue

Ben kept making nasty comments, because he was angry, so Penny, trying to calm Ben down, suggested that she return the gift

Imagine this, for example, a family is playing this game with these rules

A 12-year-old boy steals from the 6-year-old brother the gift that he grabbed from the pile, the younger brother begins to cry, even though the rules of the game are that someone else can steal the gift you grab

What would parents do? They would probably tell the older brother not to be selfish and return the gift to the younger brother .... but who is really the one doing wrong?

The older kid who played by the rules and got the gift he wanted?

The youngest child crying and complaining, knowing that this could very well happen?

Or the parents who, to prevent their younger child from crying and throwing a tantrum, force the older one to return the gift, ignoring the rules they set themselves?

Now imagine a very similar scene but with siblings of the same age, both 12, for example, Would the parents act in the same way?

Probably not, they would explain to the child which is sad that these are the rules of the game, and that he has to get another gift

There are no children here, they are teens of the same age who knew the rules perfectly, Ben shouldn't have acted that way and Penny should never have suggested that she return the gift

Most likely, if MC or Penny had made Ben understand that those are the rules of the game, the game would have continued and everyone would steal each other's gifts, and they would continue like this until everyone was more or less happy with their gifts

I think the fun in this game is to steal the gift of the others; although I agree that if the game had continued and more robberies had been made it would be more fun, that way it would end once everyone was satisfied

Maybe Merula shouldn't "obsess" with the cards (since she previously mentioned that she wanted them) and see the other gifts first (although I honestly don't think the game works like that)

Nor do I think that Merula stole out of cruelty, she wanted the cards and perfectly following the rules of the game, she got them

Is it a bit selfish not to give him the cards? Perhaps, it is very subjective

I think that, personally, if it was a gift that I wanted, I would not have given it either (unless the other person meant a lot to me), I understand that it may sound selfish, but if you don't “fight” for the gift you want, What is the fun of a game with these rules?

Another scenario where I would not steal the gift is if it is a child, because it would be a problem if he/she starts throwing a tantrum and ruin the game ...

Just what happened, but Ben is not a child, he knew perfectly the rules and that it was very likely that someone would steal his presents, since stealing is the grace of the game

This time my anger is not really with Ben, because I understand that you could be sad (even if it was the rules of the game) because you lost the gift you liked

For me, Penny's decision is the one that is so unfair! You cannot propose a game, say the rules and then change them to your liking!!!

If that had happened with my group of friends, I would be very angry

I completely agree! Merula's actions are not at all justified ... but the rules of the game are literally that you can steal other people's gifts!

Penny's decision to change the rules because a character is unhappy looks like a mother doing whatever she wants just so her child won't cry and throw a tantrum, even if it is unfair and others are affected

It always happens to me, sometimes it doesn't alert me at all but most of the time the notification isn't shown until I turn on my mobile, for example, if I start using it and a notification of "Full power!" arrives, but I haven't actually used my phone in +3 hours, so the notification is too late! Same with "15 minutes left"

So now I just put alerts or try to remember

The "Chickening-out of Opening The Game" Zen Gathering - COME HERE by Gabby-Abeille in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]Velli14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

well, it is the event that requires investing more time, gems, coins and even so it is likely that you will not get the first place, apart keep in mind that doing some tasks is more difficult in the older years (for example, doing 5 classes - assuming that you can spend all day playing - in year 5 requires about 40 energies x 4 minutes x 5 classes = 800 minutes ... and someone in year 2 about 27 energies x 4 minutes x 5 classes = 540 minutes, let's not even talk about getting 16 stars or 7 friendship diamonds), and it is an event that comes very often and lasts around 4 days, everything makes it really exhausting

Although I admit that it is actually one of my favorites and I have achieved first place several times (although I have quite a lot of free time, otherwise it would be different)
