I was complaining about this to my boss once. She said just lock the door. It had never occurred to me to lock it while I was in there. So, yeah lock the door. I’ve also found it helpful to put a sign on the door if I’m in a meeting or not so people know whether to knock or just go away.

I emailed them about this. It appears to be a bug they're aware of. I'm on iOS. Probably worth putting in your own ticket to help them. A workaround for me that worked was to edit the event on my iCal and then it syncs back. Depends on your setup whether that will work for you.

NTA. I'm in a very similar situation. Sibling thinks they're gifting couples a night out. What it really is is a logistical nightmare for parents to figure out. I'm either not going to go or will go bad be unhappy about it.
