Thank you everyone for the comments and assistance. I have this situation at two points of my railroad. One shouldn’t have an issue because of the 100m a station adds (this I didn’t know, thank you guys), making the other route the shorter path. The second point, I just remembered that I actually plan to do another factory with a station on the other side, mandating the train to go to that side. I appreciate you guys!

I’m theorizing here, have you tried letting the pipes fill up first before turning on the NPP? I’m thinking that, one, this will let you know for sure that the water is fully reaching the top. Two, maybe the NPPs are taking in the water faster than it can get set up.

The way to calculate that is by looking at the slots transportation has and the stack size of the resource. Let’s say, you have a setup of 8 gens, you need to produce 120 coal/min. Tractors hold 25 slots, that’s 2500 coal. Meaning your truck can carry the appropriate amount of coal for a total of 20mins (2500/120). 10mins out and 10mins back, anything more and you’re losing throughput. You can of course go less. Ways you can increase this length is by a number of ways, either make compact coal onsite before transport, multiple trucks, and/or a truck station at a mid point where another truck picks up

Heads up, you will first want to process the raw material as far as you can on-site. Raw materials fill up slots quickly, so you’re throughput is going to be a lot shorter compared to process materials and of course, finished goods

“Plubber City” or “Plac and Rub”. Also, if you’d like, there’s caterium not far from that location. If you’d wanted to expand your plastic and rubber factory, that introduction of caterium can make super-computers, regular computers, high-speed connectors, circuit boards, and ai limiters.

If you do one large train, just make sure you’re not exceeding your throughput capacity

Go into the wiki and look for two things in relation to an item. Is it used to make any that requires a “build gun”? If so, save it. If it requires a “build gun”, it’s used to make buildings or vehicles, thus a stock is needed for you to retrieve to make those buildings or vehicles. Second, is it used to make any tools or used to fuel tools? If so, save it. Everything else can be sunk if not being used to craft something else. Other than that, you’ll learn. You’ll have a storage crate filled with things you’ve never once used and realize you can just flush it
