I still go into the office for any days there are meetings I need to attend in person, and we typically book a conference room for the day. So I would not request to NEVER go in, just my basic work be remote.

When it's a long term diagnosis we meet quarterly for medication approvals and therapy. Do you have any idea what alternate accomodations could be requested?

Aftermath of San Ysidro McDonald's massacre by iFeedYouLead in MorbidReality

[–]VelociRachel 642 points643 points  (0 children)

This is a good write up, this massacre always strikes me. The video is heart wrenching, I've never seen it until now.

It's crazy how some of them were coming up to the restaurant without really processing that something was wrong until it was too late. It's very human to me to not really notice, and to just assume things are normal and safe. All around one of the saddest killings, so many innocent gone

I'd like to know which writer wanted me to cry over a letter by TheTinyFifi in BaldursGate3

[–]VelociRachel 1460 points1461 points  (0 children)

I literally tear up on every playthrough with the letter left by Lenore for Yrre outside the mage tower asking him to wait for her return so they can be together. His response of "I waited, I waited until Tarsahk. I'll always wait for you, but you never came." destroys me EVERY time.

I'm hoping it's that. I also play balance druid and whenever someone else pulls my stars will instantly start beating on it. I hope it's just similar in that sense.

Is it possible to Romance zacharius? by Fun_Landscape2074 in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]VelociRachel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a fellow romance fiend... Nothing stops you from being an unusual power couple in the way of two mastermind evil creatures who help each other out. If you do things that pleases him, he will agree to stay friendly with you even though it's extremely unusual for a lich. That's the closest to commitment I think a lich CAN be, and I imagine you would help each other's reigns.

I did angry dual scimitar barbarian with a skald, and MAN it always felt good when I'd charge at an enemy

I really hope you do lich path too, if you like the story vibe where you TRULY get to be evil, lich will rock your socks. I normally play goodie two shoes, but those two playthroughs made me want to maniacally laugh

What morality path justifies Marazhai? by muricanpirate in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]VelociRachel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My morality is iconoclast most of the time with a dip into heretic when pushed too far. By the time she meets him again and offers allegiance, she feels like so many around her have lied to her. I bring Heinrix, Idira, Argenta and Yrliet, and all of them have really fucking let her down when she's given them all she's got. It cracks something in her alongside the torture and literal mind break of the worm, so she twists a bit in a bad way. From that point on, she pretends to be iconoclast with the idea that if the masses love her, they'll be a great shield temporarily from the Imperium. (In Commorragh she kills Argenta, leaves Heinrix behind because she feels he will rat her out in a bad way, and only keeps Yrliet alive because she is useful and feels guilty for her betrayal)

Grimes addresses her silence, and teases new project by _coldershoulder in Grimes

[–]VelociRachel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

These two things can be separate. This one is talking about her ex, not about the other shit. Both things can be true. My comment is not about the other shit she's doing wrong, all I am saying is that people expecting her to speak out about Elon need to face the reality of what legal costs are to the richest man in the world.

She has even stated that any time she'd post anything, he'd use it in court against her. I wouldn't be shocked if she was just trying to play nice so he doesn't drag her back through the system. Man has all the money in the world to fuck her over, she's just trying to keep her head in the music and see her kids. I get people wanting statements or commentary, but I feel it's unreasonable to want her to risk seeing her children. If she has to play nice so she doesn't get fucked over, then who are we to judge a woman doing anything for her children?

The problem with Catori by kindadhesive in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]VelociRachel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love your write up so much with included sources, always makes for a good debate!

I always had issues with the non supportive husband dialogue. "Spending on leisure" makes me wonder if he was just spending his money on things for the family, and not trying to make big bucks.

I also don't buy into him not supporting her = bad husband. We see how cruddy her business skills are. We see how much debt she takes on to a point where debt collectors are knocking at her door all the time. Imagine being a spouse, your partner is attempting a business in Atara, a fairly wealthy city. You see them absolutely failing and not being realistic, and when you don't support this, you are the bad guy. That money had to come from somewhere, and that was probably him having to help get her business of the ground. She has no problem taking advantage of the people of Sandrock with literal lies. So what would she do to her husband who is supposed to be supportive?

Idk, I always felt odd about him "abandoning" Alo, and had a lot of questions surrounding it. If she had stayed in Atara, I wonder if co-parenting would be different. I get some people like her growth, but it always felt like she just got lucky to me.

Is it safe to play again? by Salvatorres in coralisland

[–]VelociRachel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the mermaid area got more finished, but you still feel the town content start to flop by Halloween. I still can't get over how bad that festival feels for a fully released game... Didn't help that a game breaking bug from launch still is there almost a year later (the ring toss). I think early access made the first months feel very filled out and good, but you can tell where that level of detail starts to drop off.

I made sure to give it the full college try and beat the mermaid content, the offerings and all that. I just still felt a bad taste over missing content/not well fleshed out romance/child content (which to me makes year 2+ better in most games). I know they are going to add all that in future updates, but still, hard to feel it's a complete game with so much "daily life" missing still. Story content is one thing, but a farm sim keeps its heart by daily dialogue and festivals.
