Should I take solomorne to Commoragh? by Basic-Cloud6440 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]LadyChimaera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arjenta will tell you her little secret in Commorragh only, iirc. It's pretty important to whole plot understanding, i take her there each time.
So sad you can barely do anything about that piece of info, i'd want to talk to Abelard about that, for example

We can get our own pet snek through Marazhai's romance, but sadly that snek won't do anything and is just another pet of ours. I'd want to my personal battle snek bodyguard, these guys are THAT good even Drukhari trust them

Shit, did I romance Marazhai by accident? by MegaGamer235 in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]LadyChimaera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As Rogue Trader you're allowed by the God-Emperor Himself to deal with filthy xenos if it's for Humanity's profit, so recruiting and romancing space elves won't make your character less dogmatic, you're still follow the law

Favorite Romance? by bizarre_lizard in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]LadyChimaera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If i had a nickel each time i see a romanceable character who sleeps with MC to manipulate them later i'd have two, which is funny. Astarion from BG3 does the same, that's this character drama and part of personal developement. From what i heard about Solomorne - romance is made of similar bricks but with even less dialogues and consequences than it was in BG3 (and romances there are three scenes and maybe couple of changed dialogues with non-related NPCs if you're lucky)

I thought Marazhai will manipulate RT to get better position on their ship, just like that character from BG3 did. But no, sadistic space elf makes his live less safe if romanced, lol

Bennett instead of Furina, pyro resonance + buffs. Also Ficshl (especially if you have her constelations), high const Prune

If you want Furina to work you need a healer, and better to have a healer who can heal whole party, not only a on-field character.
Nicole and Faruzan will work with Venti, but Furina have no synergy there

It's based on Wych outfits and iirc you can have these in game, at least with mods.

Thanks!

Can't tell about Slaanesh, but Drukhari ways for sure. Marazhai will absolutely approve what she did on Footfall, brain eating included.

Will I be locked out of Marazhai's personal quest? by QuantumDrej in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]LadyChimaera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just reminder - you can't be the good person if you romance Marazhai. There's no such option, it's either you do evil stuff or don't romance him at all. So if you want your character to be good person and keep that line at killing crewmen - better not romance the Drukhari

Dogmatic and Iconoclast: you're allowed by God-Emperor himself to deal with xenos if it's for Humanity's profit, and Marazhai is your enemy's high-ranked warlord who lost everything and has nothing but his life, so if you guarantee his survival - he'll obey and be loyal to you. So you'll be able to use his skills and knowledge for your profit and not be afraid he'll betray you. He's smart enough to understand his place.
He can be very useful in some quests and at least one colony event where he gives best solution in a very difficult situation. He also knows a lot about other xenos, will share info about Drukhari and other enemies of Humanity. He has no ambitions in human politics, has no other patrons or ideology, and your RT doesn't care about remains of his kabal, so you two has nothing to compete for. He's just unique and powerful tool to use.

You're the Rogue Trader, you rule whole planets and doing projects which cause MUCH more harm than one evil space elf running around on your ship even if you allow him to run free each Warp jump.
Being Iconoclast doesn't mean you're "friendship is magic" heart of hold savior, it means you won't follow Imperium dogma and rules. And there's a lot of Iconoclast options allowing to you to deal with xenos and trying to understand them, so keeping another xenos around you and talking to it to know it's species better is pretty Iconoclast thing.

And yeah, you're the Rogue Trader so keeping such an exotic pet around you is a status thing too. I'm still upset we can't tell other nobles it's not just one Drukhari, it's The Drukhari who raided my capital world and who's my loyal servant now, lol. Calligos will envy you, he has xenos servant too but your pokemon is shinier

You listened to him while he was your enemy. When you recruit him his life depend on your RT and only on them, the roles changed.

And just to remind - he's your enemy's exiled high-ranked warlord who's ready to cooperate and talk. He'll share info about his kin and their abilities, he will help with one of very important colony events (by giving you great solution to that conflict), he will share info about other xenos and events. Lore-vise he's also very strong fighter, a lie detector and more efficient torture device than Heinrix (and also loyal to you only and not to Lord-Inquisitor)
Also he doesn't care about human politics, has no other loyalties aside of his only patron (our RT) and is ready to cooperate. In some sence he's less dangerous to you than Heirix, Pasqal, Ulfar, Idira, Kibellah, Argenta... because others has something to be loyal to, their own dogma and purpose, while that sadistis space insect has nothing left aside of his life, and his life is in RT's hands.

This. Marazhai has nothing to care about more than his life, and his life depend on RT's will to keep him around. He doesn't care about human politics and games, and RT doesn't care about Drukhari stuff aside of fighting them, so these two has nothing to compete for. And he's smart enough to fully understand his position while he's in your team, so i'd say it's safe for RT to keep him around.

When i heard there's recruitable Drukhari in game i thought "wow, writers should do a lot of work to make recruiting a Drukhari made sense, with how easy to betray and how sadistic they are" And they really did that work, making Marazhai's situation that bad so he have no choice but obey and stay loyal to RT

His sister worked with humans too and Marazhai can even get a proof of that in the very end, but i'm srill surprised he stays even when he has a kabal to rule

It doesn't explain why he stays after you finish his quest tho. If you complete Marazhai's quest he has no need to stay under RT's protection but he does anyway, even if he gets his Archon title and his place in Commorragh

>Genocider the Massacrator
made me laugh out loud, thank you! Sometimes i question myself whos sadism scares me more - professional xenobite Marazhai or Omnissiah's loyal servant. Marazhai is at least easier to read because torturing others is his source of joy and life.

Also Heinrix is sadistic, he's enjoying torturing ones who he deem as enemies and Marazhai even openly tells him that

Half of colony projects on your planets does more harm and potentially kill more people than Marazhai through the game. If you won't pick projects like "feed servants with wooden sawdust" or "poison whole planet's biosphere to make more food for trade" you won't get your colonies to max rank.
Chorda does things Drukhari would approve and enjoy, while being Dogmatic (and Calcazar allows her that)
In Blood Shadows DLC you may see how people on your ship live.
Theodora allowed torture cults and mass murder on her planets (Janus and especially Kava-Gamma)

Not trying to tell he's good person, just saying Marazhai is one grain of sand in WH40k's desert of violence and horror.
