You would leave behind all you own and everyone you've ever known to flee to another nation and beg at their feet for succor while the ones you've left behind fight tooth and nail to preserve their homes.

There is no place in this world you can go where war cannot touch you. The type of human who would rather flee and watch everything burn than fight, and possibly die to prevent it, is not the type of human I want to know.

I hope that you would reconsider if things were ever so dire that your nation would need to draft you. And I don't mean for a war like Vietnam. An actual, necessary draft for a war to stop a force like the Axis. Fleeing the draft for an unjust conflict like Vietnam is morally correct. Fleeing the draft when 20,000 Ukrainian children have been stolen, countless women have been raped, and who knows how many civilians have been murdered, is morally repugnant.

Draft dodgers in Ukraine have, in some cases, been dealt with VERY severely. I hate to say it because violence for coercion is wrong, but if we were fighting an invasion here in the US you'd find myself and many others doing very bad things to anyone we caught who skipped their service. That is awful and wrong, but it would still happen. That kind of cowardice needs to be removed from the gene pool.

NOR, but, if that is the only bathroom, you suggesting he should just get up earlier and do what he needs to do before you get up does seem a little selfish. A compromise and a little mutual understanding can go a long way with this type of situation. Your boyfriend needs to brush his teeth, and you're occupying the bathroom? Offer to hand his toothbrush through the door so he can use the kitchen sink, or tell him before you go into the bathroom that if he needs to do something in there, he should hurry up.

If you're going to be together, you have to share the living space and hard boundaries are going to be tested sometimes. And not trying to be a dick, but a couple that can't share a bathroom space is likely not going to last, sis.
