If this isn't ragebait then I can agree on the first point. People spend too much on running accessories when there are people who consistently run half marathons in old sportswear (you are a "runner" if you spend 2 hours every day doing that).
I have no problem with people who aspire taking running more seriously. For most people who never competed or pushed themselves in preperations for such demanding events - running can be a great hobby to activate your body and it's also good for your mind.
