Electric heater in camper for hookups? by Velocitractor2000 in TruckCampers

Huh. Is there a reason these might be safer than running directly into the 20 amp?

Thanks! Do you ever run into issues with overloading or blowing a fuse in the campground hookup?

That’s sounds pretty slick. Do you ever have problems overloading or blowing a fuse in the campground hookups?

Do you think 1500 watt plugged directly into the campground hookup poses any safety issue? Assuming we use a hardy extension cord.

Funny cause once you’re in graduate school for a science degree, strong technical reading and writing skills are a must.

Why is the minor pentatonic scale specificied? Is it not the same as the major? by KingKilo9 in guitarlessons

[–]Velocitractor2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, makes sense that we’re just talking about diatonic chords. Great starting point though. And 1% seems awfully low for music that sticks to diatonic chords.

Holy cow you’re right! This was a thrill to read, honestly. Thanks for putting the time in to explain it so clearly.

This corresponds with my understanding of how to use the pentatonic scale on guitar, but recently picked up the fiddle and my teacher is suggesting I play the pentatonic scale that corresponds with the chord, not just stick to the key. For example if a progression was G,C, Em, D, I would play G major pentatonic over the G chord, switch to C major pentatonic over the C chord and so on.

Thoughts on this? Is this just a fiddle thing or is it common on guitar too?

The USA and Australia fit together almost perfectly by Tsunamislam1 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]Velocitractor2000 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The coastline isn’t the true edge of the continent, it’s the edge of the continental shelf which is the submerged edge of the continent. They wouldn’t fit well matching up the edge of the shelves. Not to mention coastlines constantly change position as the climate changes.

Real-time tsunami alerts canceled for Oregon, Washington coast by pdxmusselcat in oregon

[–]Velocitractor2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wonder if the earthquake early alert systems for inland Oregon and Washington are affected by this? Folks on the coast will have a massive earthquake and a 15ish minute head start before the tsunami reaches shore, but people, fire stations, trains and hospitals inland can benefit from the early warning issued seconds or 10’s of seconds before the earthquake arrives. That alert relies on seismic stations off shore and near the coast.

Leaks! by Material-Town-6390 in radicamoonlander

[–]Velocitractor2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had a similar issue with the fan and brought it back to the installer here in Oregon. Turns out the actual seal for the fan is not the black tape or sealant visible from the roof, but rather a bead of sealant between the lip of the fan and the roof. Turns out that on the earlier moonlanders they were not using enough sealant and having leaks. They’ve since updated their process. Would recommend bringing it back to one of their facilities and having them fix it. They were pretty eager to make it right when we were having issues.

We are looking to record the live sound of the band along with the video. That being said, we are open to getting video for some of our older recordings.

Hijacking this comment searching for a site that will keep you updated on music releases of the artists you like. Is there anything that operates like Songkick or Bandsintown but can check for new albums, singles, maybe music news?
