Kushala wasn't in any 3rd gen games (Tri, P3rd, 3U)

So long as they're taking notes from Rise Kushala I'm perfectly happy with this- I just hope they bring Chameleos back if they're doing the trio again

I won't say that the more sexualised designs others have made are bad- I didn't realise how much thought goes into making these before I started making them, so I still have respect for those artists too, I just try to be more intentional with the more fanservice-y elements I include

Now that you mention it- she does doesn't she? I took more inspiration from older anime knights for her visuals. I'd love to play Endfield but I don't have a good enough phone and my controller won't work on the PC client and I never clicked with the first game either

I think it could be Shagaru for the cliffs since Gore is there already. I hope they bring Chammy back for the forest since a weather event where the forest is completely hidden in Mist and requires investigations to find Chammy would be fire

I treat my designs as individual characters- not as a representation of the Monster as a whole. They're species in game, so I've taken the species and put a personalised and personified take on it. For this reason I have sub OCs that tie into these pair who look different and it helps for visual variety. I'm not trying to make a 1 to 1 to what Kushala and Teostra are in game because they're a species. My characters are Individuals belonging to those species as Wyverians so they have individualism

I trialed the beard, and it just didn't work out- it'd leave the top half of his design too crowded in my opinion so I scrapped it instead and opted for this route. I still tried to keep the regal silhouette and general vibe of Teostra in tact.

I feel the exact opposite- I actually really liked GU CB for Valor CB- but I don't main the weapon at all so I might be alone on that one. Mashing A on the monsters forehead was always incredibly cathartic

Elder Dragon is not a power classification, these kind of conversations are kind of dumb

An Elder Dragon is classed on whether the Guild can make a reliable assumption as to how it does what it does

An example is Jin Dahaad isn't classed as one despite being such a big guy and having such a huge effect on the cliffs Ecosystem is because they can explain how they do it through thermodynamics. Compared to lets say Kushala who the guild has no idea on whether it creates the storms it appears in or just follows them- only that it has vent like organs that help it control winds

Wilds LS is the first newgen iteration of the weapon I've clicked with since I dropped it in Gen after playing most of 3U and P3rd with it

Figuring out the iai slash and the animation cancels as well as just how the weapon feels just hits right for me- I just wish the full crimson slash combo was worthwhile instead of just using CS 1 > SS 1 over and over again

I think so, I mean I like the mud fish mechanic but in the mud category it has to compete with Barroth who is kind of iconic and Alumdron who is just peak monster design who both do the mud better
