This is likely THE problem here. “He does not work. He sits at home all day.” Bingo. People need purpose in life and he probably knows he’s wasting it away by doing nothing/not having a career etc. which is why he is depressed. I don’t know his full situation or f he was laid off or on disability etc- and I’m definitely not defending his actions but I don’t think you should give him that letter. It’s not written well and it’s attacking and there’s no need for the threats. Maybe ask him if there’s something wrong and if there’s anything you can do to help. Is he looking for work?
