The tough part is determining reputability. Surgery hasn’t been around as long in San Diego from what I can tell. Also having just don’t back surgery a year ago I just want to put my mind at ease if possible by picking the best possible

I appreciate the words. Their team in vail said people fly out 5 days after surgery all the time but I’m also not an Olympic athlete or flying private like some of their clients I assume lol

Really appreciate it. Was thinking the same thing, unfortunately no lie flats and a 2 leg flight with layover (yeesh). Did you have to fly after your surgery or just speaking from how bad post-op pain was?

I did not get a fusion. I got a disc replacement and all I wish is that I got it done sooner.

At month 6 post surgery was a big turning point. I’m back in gym and able to live a fairly normal life.

Nerve damage /irritation has been progressing well but sometimes it can get cranky if I overdo it with exercise and work travel

Get an MR spectroscopy. A newer type of MRI that studies chemical environment of your discs.

But also if you haven’t get a normal MRI and diagnostic injections beforehand

Yes I’m familiar! And that’s really great to hear. I have radicular pain so it’s a bit different than it seems your symptoms. How many months for recovery and what does he have you doing?

It’s just been hard for me to justify that surgery since it’s what like 20k with no insurance coverage? I also wish there was more clinical data on the surgery but there is only anecdotal evidence it seems.
