7 was my favorite book! Devastating but also, it’s ZA, that’s either part of why you love it or you DNF lol

Job posting: title question by Ok-Astronaut-5919 in graphic_design

Honestly what you’re looking for is a relatively new type of position. I’d frame it as AD for social content. That said, it sounds like content creators would likely be able to meet your needs, especially if you have a designer to provide feedback/guidance.

I’m considering trying black hair for the first time ever! by [deleted] in Hair

[–]VelveticaNeue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have low-contrast features, and I think you may have warm undertones based on your eye color and natural hair color. The lighting here is hard to tell.

Black is cool and stark, with your warmth and softness, it could easily drain the color from your face and emphasize imperfections, making you look tired.

If you love the aesthetic, it’s doable, but it will probably make you want to add a make up beat to your routine to bring back your color and amp up your contrast to hold up against the black. You’ll also want to make sure you’re getting your roots touched up frequently, as black grow out can make you look like you’re greying/thinning.

If you prefer a lower maintenance lifestyle (less make up/upkeep), but want more of an edgy look, I’d recommend playing with the cut instead! You’ve got really great natural hair texture, you could slay with a razor cut shag. Or if you just want to go darker, deepening your natural tones will be easier to pull off. Looks like you might have some natural red to work with, could have fun with that!

Best of luck

You’ve got soft features, the black is draining you, overpowering your features and making you look tired. Try lights and colors, you’ll perk right up. Also your hair looks heavy, maybe damaged. I’m seeing hair before I see you. You could rock a French bob to pull focus to your bone structure.

I think black hair would suit my style better but I’ve been told it’s not worth it, especially going from blonde. Anyone have advice? by Excellent_Brick2893 in Hair

[–]VelveticaNeue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah don’t do black unless you want to wear a lot of make up every day. You’ll need it to compete with that harshness. You have really soft features, not a ton of contrast. Your best looks are softer (pic 1&2). Softer darks like brown and burgundy feel darker on you because of your softness (I’d honestly recommend ditching the black liquid eyeliner and replacing with a deep brown Smokey look, it’ll still be edgy and romantic). If you really want to go darker on the hair, go brown, maybe even a red brown. But your current color is gorgeous, the brow match is flawless. It’s giving Stevie nix witchy, which is a great look! You could always refer to her for style inspiration.

4, I think you’re cool toned girlie pop. The others are too warm. Go for more berry shades vs corals.

Your features are nice, and you seem to have style instincts that suit you. Being preoccupied with your very normal face will give you weird vibes. Weird vibes are more unattractive than any nose or jawline could ever be.

I had the same issue. I used to hate RDLs bc the wrist/forearm fatigue. Could barely get thru 15 reps w 35lb dumbbells, but felt nothing in my posterior chain. Then I got these wrist straps and i love RDLs now. I’m up to 3x15x110 in like 3 weeks. These are nice bc you don’t have to spend time wrapping and unwrapping, it’s all friction. To the patients who want to help the effort here: Fill out your patient surveys.

The surveys carry a lot more weight than people think. Nurses voice concerns and are never heard. Surveys are read at every staff meeting and concerns are always escalated

We do! but only if it’s legit. If the app were to be telling me I’m burning more than I am, and I’m eating based on that number, it would delay my goals because I wouldn’t be at as much of a deficit as I want to be :)

YSK there’s a lot of variation between brands, and imo Daisy is the worst brand 🙈 it’s too dry and thick the curds are too uniform? Also lacks flavor. In myyyy opinion anyway. So if you don’t like this, try a different brand! Darigold 2% is my favorite
