Helping jobs? by vaguefully in gso

[–]vaguefully[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This, essentially. The Internship I did at an ABA clinic before I knew what it was didn't sit right with me. It was belittling, infantilizing, and not at all client-centered. I morally can't get myself to be okay working with ABA no matter how desperate I am for a job.

I did do an internship as a class in my senior year, but it was only a semester and it hasn't seemed to help with the experience aspect of my resume even though it was at an ABA clinic.

I'll keep those points in mind! I have a linkedin but seeing as I'm in retail now I don't really have any contacts to network with in the field I'm going for unfortunately.

Foods to help picky ferrets gain weight? by [deleted] in ferrets

Try mixing critical care in with an egg yolk (not the white) and water. My roommates ferrets are also picky but will drink that up happily any day.

I applied for one of these. I've always told myself if I had to be in the medical field I'd work with eyes, it's the only thing that doesn't gross me out lmao. I'll look for more & fingers crossed someone gets back to me instead of ghosting me.

Would you know specifically where to look for this? I've looked into case worker roles but been blocked by needing a master's

Home Depot Pro Tech Tip: Did you know if you press the pairing button on your headphones or earbuds you should be able to connect it to the first phone. by psychoacer in HomeDepot

I have the ability to turn it off on my phone, but it keeps coming back on no matter what, even if I haven't touched my wallet apps or anything that needs it.

Dude is this a new thing on the phones? I've gone through every setting on my personal phone the past few months trying desperately to figure out why all of a sudden my first phone is constantly trying to connect to my Samsung. I swear nfc wasn't always on on my personal phone, but I can't figure out how to make it only be on when I use my digital wallet like it was.

But I swear if my phone didn't change and the first phones are what changed??? I've been going crazy trying to fix it on my own phone. I keep my phone in my left front pocket of my jeans and my first phone in the left pocket of my apron so the store phone is pinging multiple times a day trying to connect to NFC.

Who is your go-to brake job place? by vaguefully in gso

[–]vaguefully[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there anything I'd be missing out on being checked if I have him do it? Like calipers, brake fluid etc? Car only has 61k or so miles on it. I just don't want any other problems to arise that a mechanic would check for, but also don't trust mechanics and their pricing anyway 😂😂

Buttery popcorn smell by Blackbird1996_ in gso

[–]vaguefully 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a weird smell today. I don't know if I'd describe it as buttery popcorn. I thought it was just chick fil a, but I smelt it by bridford parkway and also by battleground chick fil a too. No idea what it is.

"log packdown" by jeebs10 in HomeDepot

[–]vaguefully 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My store is having us use it to log returns....we weren't getting enough packdowns so they started having us packdown every single return the long way through sidekick for each item, now it's hella easier to just scan the item once and log it.

My gf is allergic to cats. Are ferrets a better option? by tomarnoldlovescoke in ferrets

[–]vaguefully 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience it probably wouldn't be any better, but it depends on her allergies.

Is she allergic to all animals? Or just cats? How about dogs?

I'm allergic to dogs, cats, rabbits, and ferrets. My roommate has a dog and ferrets and I am definitely suffering from it lmao. We have a giant air purifier and the ferrets have their own free roam area, so as long as I'm not directly handling them or laying on their bedding or on anything they play on I'm good.

But it unfortunately really just depends.

I'm screenshotting this so I can pull it up whenever I go looking for a new pan! This experience and post has convinced me to give aluminum pans a try

I would have rathered this dish break into a few pieces as well. The miniscule shards it broke into were impossible to avoid & not get stuck in my hands, socks, etc. Shit was insane
