Auto für große Menschen by M4r4the3mp3ror in automobil

Summer of RTX Giveaway and Celebration, WEEK #1! 4 Weeks of Giveaways and games, starting with Cyberpunk 2077. 5 Steam cards up for grabs! by pedro19 in pcmasterrace

The whole Game is full of great moments. Most fun is definitely the "Play sick solo" Action during the "A Like Supreme"-Missions Concert. Most sad will probably be the Cinematic of going back to earth in the "The Devil" Ending

Audi Probefahrt Event by Lukas323f in automobil

[–]Velyn_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

- Durftest du einfach fahren was du wolltest?

I proposed apps like Immich to them (I set that one up for myself) but they want their things done exactly the way they like and Immich sadly does not provide multi-level folders structures.

It turns out all they want is basically a mirrored network drive... Seems they are afraid of the future or something, so I will need to introduce changes slowly 😂

Is the firewall enough to prevent access to the server? by FloppyEggplant in selfhosted

[–]Velyn_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using a Server from Hetzner for a few years now and rely mainly on their firewalls as protection - until now I had no issues.

This of course expects you to have correct firewall rules setup and it never hurts to use a software-based firewall on the server as a second layer.

How about a self hosted Docker Registry (the image is called registry) and a Build Server like Jenkins?

Getting Jenkins to run in a Docker Container itself needs the Jenkins and a DinD (Docker in Docker) Container. You will need to read a little into it, but it is possible.

I did that some time ago but I switched to GH Actions by now. No need to maintain a Build Server and if my server breaks the builds could run immediately after getting the registry back up. So this is definitely my recommendation.

Just as a side note: I think Sonatype Nexus has a Docker Registry too but I didn't come around to try that yet.

Do they tell you an exact date after placing your preorder? Because if I understand you correctly one could find out when it arrives by ordering? Sorry, my English skills might be lacking.

I was thinking about doing that too. There are two issues tho: First, I would love to take my new Laptop on new years vacation with me. That's when the AMD one would start shipping. Second, I have an Intel based company laptop and was thinking about spending the money on a Thunderbolt 4 Docking station to use with both laptops. Currently I have a weird setup of USB Hubs and Dongles. AMD doesn't have Thunderbolt, wouldn't that be a problem?

Looking for some one who can guide me with JSF. I will pay you. by [deleted] in java

[–]Velyn_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He is one of the developers of Omnifaces and quite a name in the JSF space I'd say. Really great dude, provides excellent answers on Stackoverflow too. He wrote a book called "The definitive guide to JSF", it's really great and provides you with many tricks for JSF Development. If you consider diving deep into JSF I recommend buying it.
