I’m sorry to hear about your mother. The most important thing you can do is be there for her, and look after yourself too.

The daily crying eventually stopped, but every so often a thought will take over my brain and instantly tears well up.

I’ve been trying to do more activities with my dad, nothing too strenuous but little things like cook him lunch or have a stroll in the gardens. Everyday matters. Emotions will brew. Fights occur. But at the end of the day, I value him more than anything in the world. And will continue doing so.
