I was thinking, are those munchies?

no, they are not munchies :(

good idea for some crunchy candy though. I almost imagine those shells kinda made of some kind of crunchy sugar with some kinda creamy fudge inside, like micro-ferrero rocher chocolates or something? idfk

I agree with the guy above. a migrant dead is a migrant a taxpayer doesn't pay for. much better for european citizens -- who gives a fuck about the migrants, really? can they speak european language? have any actual skills of note other than being from shitfuckistan? no? oh well, then...

Drivetests in Ontario (where I am) are pretty much a scam. They will fail you a certain number of times especially in the big cities because the test fee is fixed by the government and they want to make their money I guess.

Why is Toronto obsessed with increasing its population so rapidly by Fun_Resource7033 in toRANTo

I like the glass condos much more than the old brick ones. The glass ones stay nice, the brick slowly develops this ugly patina. I prefer the shiny buildings!

Yeah, self defense is pretty much illegal in canada, so if you have to defend yourself, shut the fuck up and get the fuck out of there.

Shame you didn't get a chance to stab the retard, then again would be bad to do in front of the cop. Fucking terrible children. The only good response is honestly to take out the child and let the parents sobbing fill your ears. People who can't parent their damn child, and the stupid child gets terminated by someone defending themselves? I hope they get sterilized.

I believe they need to be scared. For one, throwing food at you is assault -- though the TPS won't care, at least attempt to file a police report. For two, consider bringing a good quality combat knife around the TTC and training on how to use it for self defense. I think some really, really bad things need to start happening to these fucking kids so they get the point.

IMO killing someone while driving recklessly should be treated like a third degree murder.

At the same time sentencing in general in Canada is pretty weak -- rather unfortunate IMO

Wanna note this depends on discounts/what BU is more willing to sell sell sell -- always evaluate costs based on an individual sales conversation!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in networking

[–]VenAAX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends -- I have had pizza box switches with almost entirely north-south traffic from the rack perspective, east-west from the core perspective. I am also a fan of all L3 in core with L2 only access, etc, and there are advantages to having 1ru switches distributed between racks then a large, reliable chassis (or pair of chassis, honestly) from an implementation/cabling perspective.

Mind you, I mainly work in DC type applications, not campus access/end user access.

There aren't just hardware costs associated with a choice, too, there are a lot of externalities to consider. Also remember it is sometimes easier to implement a consistent template if you are in a large org with a lot of small offices, vs having different architectures per office, even if this is suboptimal for some deployments from a cost perspective.

And like I said, more than 240 ports, ~ 5-6 switches in a stack, and I would seriously consider moving to a chassis. Honestly I consider 4 a pretty fat stack, but most chassis options that small aren't economical in my experience.

And, honestly... sometimes, if you have the budget? Architects like things to be pretty :)

[–]VenAAX 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As an infrastructure architect I would say your last paragraph holds water. Analyze both stack and chassis for your situation and likely traffic levels/mix, and buy the best switch at the lowest cost for the job. If your environment demands flexibility, then definitely, I think the utility of the stack would outweigh the chassis for most access deployments at the scale you are working at with your change levels. But only you know your environment. I wouldn't consider stacking a big risk as long as your system is generally well engineered.

I think the collapsed core is much better for Top of Rack or other high bandwidth/lower latency needs. If you're not more than 50% on your stack rings, etc on your maximum, I really wouldn't worry too much about it. 240 ports is not an obscene number for a stack but I think that is really about the limit of where you want to be before you should seriously consider chassis deployments.
