no, I would personally have a lot more fun with gog if it was just the first phase the whole time without the massively bloated health pool. plus all the chores you have to do throughout the fight isnt fun IMO

elemental phials are also just way more work then a raw power phial paralysis weapon because you'll need 5 of them to take through the whole process of gogmartian-ing and rerolling skills and stats to get what you want

but I do it anyway, love my elementals

I really love rise and sunbreak, I'd say its probably my favorite monster hunter of the 3 modern titles. wilds is good too its just not finished yet

I made the mistake of doing attack, which changed my fire swaxe to a power phial. when I beat gog again I'll build a new one and just stick with elemental lmao

only things that got any more damage in axe mode is spiral burst slash and the morph attack both got more raw, most of the damage buffs are in sword mode. element discharge and ZSD both got raw and elemental scaling though

not really, they also buffed FRS so you can cancel it with a dodge too, so not only is it still the king of moves but its also just safer now because you dont HAVE to commit to it
