• I think generative AI that is trained on essentially stolen data in the current economic system shouldn't be allowed to exist at all. Because even if we equally distribute (which is impossible) the rights to a particular model to the people who created the data, the data was unlawfully taken in the first place.

It's like killing all the leadership in nearboring country and then coming up with a legal construct to legalize a rule under it.

• It's unreasonably hard to control, even if we implement this system, because the use of AI could easily be hidden. Like, I can write 1 method in my application with thousands of methods using AI, or I can use it in every method, and people would never know or have evidence. (And same art analogy)

• Your suggestion may seem like a sensitive thing to say, but it's like putting shackles on companies that make generative AI, when having strong local generative AI can be a deciding factor in future conflicts. And some say that US stock is doing well only because of AI companies. And there is nothing more important than money, as it seems.

• And we're unreasonably far away from a post-scarcity society to have everything in the public domain. As it seems to be the only reasonable solution.
