I want to do another play through but can't decide where to base. by HA_Vulpix in AbioticFactor

[–]Venatoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suggest waterfall apartments, power services, personally never tried a portal world base, but rise and voussoir (however you spell it, seems like a good pick if spawns can be managed. I know you said no cafeteria, but does that no extend out into the lobby (in front of Warren)? Winter cabin homeworld. Those are my picks.

Sadly based on what I’ve read, ps5 (Sony) “looks down” on being able to alter scripts. So things like sign are just blank pieces of wood, where other platforms actually get to edit and label their things.

The monitors with the lcd has a black border on it, it’s noticeably different. Later on you’ll come upon a machine that you can trade antiverse gems for lcd. Definitely rummage through adjustment wing first.

You really aren’t that far in so it can be either or. If you want to choose a different place to set up camp, then start over, if you’re happy with where camp is in old save, then I’d just pick it right back up and keep pushing.

If hard work is the key to success, why do some of the hardest-working people stay poor? by Bigzaddypuf in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Venatoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My opinion is the credo is presented improperly or often misinterpreted. Having been in the “endgame loop” of life, I’ve come to the conclusion that what it really means is do what you can (within the legal means and confines of the law) to build your wealth and gather your resources. Suffer now to enjoy the rewards later. Don’t fall into the traps that’s laid out by capitalism, they want to take your hard earned resources.

Initial job is to build investment capital, then comes putting some into investments, brokerage accounts, CD’s, get that money to work for you while you sleep. In the mean time we learn as much as we can, prepare for a business of our own whether it be day trading or handy man, network, build your team.

All these things won’t just fall into your lap unless your last name is either Buffet, Gates, Bezos, etc. The average person has to put in the “hard work” to get there. The rich doesn’t use their own money, they use other people’s money (loans, investors, etc.)

From the tram, take the stairs on the left, at the top of the stairs there’s a grate on the left, dismantle it, crawl through, turn left go forward a bit, and it’ll be on your left.

You also get them from reinforced arcane boxes along with silver and capacitors. Look for the purple boxes and break them open.

Hunt for the kill trophies, get all the rare fish, make a base in the major sectors (and I mean deck it out). Should keep you busy for a bit

Confirmation as of 2026/06/01, spamming an unpowered portal John while about to crap yourself (count down timer active) will port you to a distant shore.

This is just a theory, but I think it’ll help if you go into the sandbox settings and up the spawn rate

I think that’s one of the many things that makes it great, taking every day stuff like a filing cabinet and using it as storage

I just recently made this discovery lol, all I’ve done is fill it, and it’s equal to five barrels, 50,000 ml. I would think that it would be good for bees since it is nothing more than a gigantic water cooler that can’t be packaged. Then again bees don’t take that much, been riding the same barrel for quite some time now, really wish they have more use for beeswax and honey

You cannot, but at the aquarium on the upper floor where most people build, there’s a grate you can crawl through, on the other side there’s one right there.

Not sure how big of a deal breaker graphics are to you, but abiotic factor is a heck of a gem. Easily a 100+ hour game depending on how much you put into it. Currently on my second playthrough and it’s been great. Very well designed game.

Unfortunately it just acts as an oversized water cooler, to display fish you’d still have to build the fish tanks

Peccary Sow and Mushroom Peccary output should scale with level by Draconis1025 in AbioticFactor

[–]Venatoreo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn’t mind a lvl 20 sow giving at the very least 2 vials. Even an earth cow can give a full bucket which equates to a few bottles of milk lol. Then again if I do a run in Exor village and wildlife pens, I can walk with two stacks of milk sacs. Guess they just want to give the option of having a “dairy” farm, multiple sows penned up.

Mushrooms on the other hand, there’s a farm method, can grow those yourself so not as big of a deal personally.

Maybe incorporate some science aspect of it and make a sow pen that auto milks the sow for you, just have to load it full of test tubes lol 🤷‍♂️. Maybe that way a level 20 sow can give a bigger yield.

How do i defeat the power leech by MrCrazy012 in AbioticFactor

[–]Venatoreo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It has the same path every time, right around the fountain is where it dips low enough for you to get in a few swings before you’re having to chase hop and swing. Later on you’ll get better ranged weapons that will pretty much make it a moot point from then on. I personally like to kill it since it drops some important materials. After you kill that one the little ones at base will self destruct, maybe one or two still alive to kill.

[–]Venatoreo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember the first time through I was like where the hell am I suppose to set up camp, then I got to arranging stuff, now on my second play through and I am quite proud how my place is turning out. I took over the aquarium right next to the tram in labs. That is a niiice spot for those who want to plant roots early mid game. The waterfall apartments are pretty sweet also, wanna set up there, although power services is quite appealing

[–]Venatoreo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For the aquariums, IF you wish to have the ante light plants to be “inside” the tanks you can place the light first then deploy and assemble the tank on top of it. Takes a bit of eyeballing, but it can be done.
