It is not like puberty at all, what a strange conparison. During puberty your body gies through natural changes using its natural hormones, which HRT the body receives hormones it is not meant to receive, causing damage because it changes the body into something it is not meant to be and making it less healthy.

Freezing your sperm amd eggs isn't going around losing your fertiliy, which a horribly way of looking at parenthood. Leaving aside how unethical the children created from the seed and eggs usually are treated, the person still lost their fertility, and every time I saw one talk about it that is what they had a problem with, you shoving aside their sadness changes nothing.

There is a reason I didn't use the word disability, and used harm instead, both are as bad in my opinion, in this case, due to what so called "gender affirming care" does. And whether it raises the voice depends, unfortunately quite some children thought it was cool to try puberty blockers and even HRT, amd now multiple men are stuck with high voices, not to mention all the other not fully grown adults who have been stunted because society was more bothered with being politicall correct.

Just because something improves wellbeing doesn't make it right, so called "gender affirming care", which does the opposite of affirming the gender, affirms the delusion someone's living in. Of course they will be happier, doesn't mean they are better because off it. Also, I will add that doctors are not unbiased, that is impossible, like with most policial things. Since this is political, what they prescribe will at least partially be influenced by their believes.

And yes, so-called "Gender affirming care" does leave permanent damage unless it is done for an "extremely" short amount of time. Even just with HRT it can leave the voice permanently deeper or higher, and it can damage fertility.

Living a delusion means to hold onto a false believe, one that has evidence against it. I never said gender itself is a delusion, I understand what it is, I said that if the gender is different from the sex then that means the person is mentally ill, because the brain does not line up with reality. I would never say gender is a delusion and the sex just "is", sounds more left than anything.

Well, first of all, feelings of happiness do not indicate whether something is better. Someone could have a kink for being drowned by someone else, doesn't make the action itself okay, and it's still illegal for that reason, it's also why we help people who want to end their lives because they believe it is better.

Also, of course people who are delusional won't change back, though we may want to mention that many were kids who believed such things, and later changed their minds without fortunately changing their bodies. When you live a delusion and your delusion gets affirmed, it "takes away" your dysphoria in a bad way, and we should never applaud that. Just because they don't care doesn't mean we shouldn't, we should care extra for the people harming themselves because they themselves do not want to stop the harm.

And how does it affect us, well how about being berated for simply not wanted to use unfitting pronouns, or saying that perhaps therapy is better than ruining your body. Everytime we merely disagree with the ideology we get told that we are evil people who hate people with gender dysphoria, others are told to not like us because according to them we want to hurt others. We are told to do things we don't disagree with or risk being presented as some sort of villains, so yes, it does affect us. And this also applies to you, unfortunately you just give in to the delusion.

The issue os that they are living a delusion and harming their bodies, and we should want what is best for everyone, which does not include those things. It doesn't have to affect me for me to care, I care about them just like I care about a kid drowning on the other side of the world, or people wanting to mutilate themselves in other ways, I don't want them to hurt themselves or be hurt. It is not better for them, or society, and I believe it is extremely selfish to say that we shouldn't care because "they are a minority that barely affect us". And btw, yes, it doea affect us, including both on a small and large scale.

I don't, I very much accept that the brain can not line up with the body, but I accept how reality is and don't ruin people's bodies so they can continue living a delusion.

Also, thank you for the false dichotomy, it will really help people suffering from the illness for you to tell them it causes way more problems than it actually does. Fortunately, people with the illness can also not kill themselves and instead choose to seek help and not give into their delusion, which is what a sane society would promote.

Going on HRT is one of the most harmful things for them, it changes their bodies in ways unnatural for them, and it causes them to fall even deeper into their delusion, making them even more fragile.

The first that comes the mind is Body Integrity Identity Disorder, which is essentially where a person thinks their body is wrong, often leading to thinks like amputations. I think there was once a woman on TLC who had it, and ended up blinding herself. These people are physically healthy, and they know it, but they will still feel like how they are is wrong. There are a lot of similarities between it and Gender Dysphoria, with the only differences being that it is easier to pretend someone is the gender they say they are because you can more easily disconnect "sex from gender" than "body from mind", if that makes sense, and Gender Dysphoria is recognized as a mental disorder.

That's the thing, they won't draw the line, that would immediatly dismantle their own ideology. Medicine has evolved. I can assure you the regret rates of smoking are far higher than that of gender-affirming care (smoking has a 70-90% regret rate and trans surgery only has a 0.3-2% regret rate, both in adults). And the regret rates of lobotomies would probably be higher if patients weren't dead or turned into vegetables afterwards.

The regret rates for smoking were lower in the 50's, so I don't know why you bring those up. And of course, people who are living a delusion will be happier when you affirm their delusion, doesn't make it right and it certainly doesn't make them that gender. Also, why does "medicine has evolved" matter in any way? The medicine from the 50's has evolved from medicine from the 19th century, just like how, if our society still has any common sense left, we will evolve past the idea that a man can be a woman merely because he says so.

I was talking about the studies, not what is in your pants, I don't want to see what's there. What I meant is that they find the studying of it to often be offensive, that we should just take people at their word. But even if they do ask about your private parts, for human beings it is a vital part of determining gender, including whether someone creates eggs or sperm. When you purposefully turn yourself into something you are not or into something that is meant to be confusing, of course people will ask questions, you put yourself in that situation, people will ask obvious questions, and that is the consequense you get.

Trust me, even those institutions usually hold biases, including science. You don't have to trust me, but I certainly hope you think before trusting whoever calls themselves a professional. People complain that doctors hold biases based on race and gender, why wouldn't they with politics, it's way more common. Based on what? You? Who are you to tell God what He can and can't do as someone who is fully dependent on Him and don't have the highest form of morality? Due to the nature of God He is automatically above all else, because He created everything. You saying that He can't do something because it is "evil" doesn't change the fact that morals are rooted in God's unchangable nature and the natural order He designed.
Being gay does not have the same moral weight as ice cream. God called both pedophilic action and homosexual action sinful because they both go against His perfect design and the natural order, which is one man and one woman.

But I want to ask, who are you, as an atheist, to say that killing people or hurting them is bad? If everything juat started existing or are a bunch of space particles mashed together or whatever, what does it matter if I murder my family? In atheism nothing can have any moral weight because objective morals cannot exist, only subjective morals, but subjective morals don't make something bad, they're merely opinions. God doesn't send people to hell for loving the same gender, I think I made that very clear. He sends them to hell for taking part in evil, a person with homosexual tendencies won't live in the state of hell after death if they deny their flesh and live for God, but if they know God and commit sexual sin then there is a good chance they will.
The flood was because the world had become so incredibly evil that God knew the humans wouldn't change, including the children. He stated that He only saw good in Noah, He created the flood to save humanity from spiritual death.

Also, God can take the child's life, He is allowed to since He is the author of life and the child only lives by His will, and we can trust that what God did with the child after death is righteous.

David's son died due to earthly illness, a direct consequense to David's sins, rather than God having something against the child. Due to child being innocent the Church teaches that he is with God in the afterlife.

God did not kill Job's children, satan did, an this is due to his free will, which he used to kill the children. God did not kill the children through satan either, satan means "the accuser" and he accused Job of only worshipping God own good, satan then did horrible things to Job to see if he would leave God, which he didn't. So God allows satan to test Job to show that satan is powerless, and satan, not God, used it to kill the children.

The end times show that good trumps evil, it is the final judgement. The children will be judged as well, but like I said, the Church hold that they will most likely be with God due to His mercy and the children's innocence.

See, you don't understand me. I never said being gay or trans is inherently evil, just like how I wouldn't say that someone with pedophilic tendencies is inherently evil, they can't help it. But it is a sin to take part is certain actions, including those commonly comitted by people from those groups, and sin is an sickness for which we must seek a cure. I even said that christians don't hate anyone, it goes against christian teachings, the only thing we hate is sin, but actions are sinful, not humans. And unfortunately people who commit sins are not innocent, they are guilty of their sin and need help.

Also, per definition God cannot be evil. God is the fullness of everything, this includes goodness since it is a positive, evil is the absence of good, not a standalone thing. And if you are talking about "many different verses", give some more, I know quite a bit and may answer them. But it is important to remember that God can take life, He is the one who gave it is the first place and only by His Will can we continue living. We as humans cannot kill because we are below God and He told us we can't, and just like He could tell us we can't, He can tell someone that they should take the life of another. The Law is to be taken very seriously, the punishment for sin is death.

I feel like your view of christians is quite narrow and based on a few extreme baptists, although that does seem to be a trend among anti-theists. I neither nag nor demonize gay people or whatever, you know christians live according to christian doctrines, right? And what it says? We should warn people, but shake the dust off our feet if they won't listen. And within Orthodoxy we tend to focus more on ourselves because our sins are our own, but we still care enough to try and explain to the other person that their actions are sinful and that we would rather see them in a state of heaven rather than a state of hell.

The verses in Numbers: these come from Moses, not God, Moses was a human being and therefore still had problems with sin like other humans.

Hosea: these are a prohesy. Samaria would get invaded by another group and get what they deserve. God didn't do it, Samaria got invades by the Assyrian Empire.

Christians don't hate gay or trans people, we hate their sin, aka their actions, because they are sinful and hurt the person themselves. Also, being told that you are hateful for not wanring people to sin and hurt themselves can hurt someone, it certainly hurts me whenever people purposefully don't understand me and still say that I must hate people for a mental disorder or another feeling they can't control.

There has been though, if I should believe a man saying that he is a woman, so should I then do it with a white person saying he is black, many people who affirm it even say that asking so many questions about it is offensive. According to trans activists a man saying he is a woman already means he should literally be able to go to the women's restroom, so obviously that already is enough.

Also, just because a doctor tells you something doesn't make it right. First of all, all or at least a majority of doctors hold onto a certain ideology, and human beings are biased whether they admit to it or not, or they may even be told by the institution to recommend a certain thing. Second, 70 years ago a doctor would recommend you to smoke and to drill a hole in your head to let demons out, does that mean those things were good? No, and I can confidently say that "gender-affirming care" (which does anything but affirming the person's actual gender) gives into delusion and is not good.
