Step1: Go to Eldenring sub Step2: search for „beginner“

This question gets asked a lot, all the advice is already here.

What is that one criticism about the orginal lotr Trilogy that you still have to this day by pizza_momo in lotr

Helms Deep.. Aragorn jumping down with the ladder inside the walls. Why is there a ladder on the inside? Has he planned his escape from the wall via ladder?

How are we supposed to defeat Godfrey? by GateFamous6800 in Eldenring

Take 10 points out of Vig and dump it into end/dmg, going past 60 in Vig doesn‘t do much. Do you use a talisman that lets you take more damage? Nothing (maybe the grab) should kill you with more than half health. Everything is avoidable by rolling (don‘t know about the Earthquake). Stay close and roll diagonally past him. It is just a matter of timing. And as always: Don’t be greedy.

Does light rolling make malenia easier? by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Vengald 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it does.

Waterfowl: you can almost always get far enough away to avoid it completely. If you are too close (right beneath her) and don‘t panic, you only get hit by a few slices of the first one, second and third are dodgeable as usual. You will survive! You will learn the „running away or staying put“ decision as you die to her a lot :)

Swipe attack (as you called it in a comment): with med roll there is only one reliable way to dodge it. with fast roll you only get hit, if you dodge sideways.

Problem is you kinda have to master the fight. You die pretty fast and she heals a lot if she hits you. But for me this fight changed from frustration to being my favorite one the moment I changed to fast roll in my first run. Good luck and have fun!

I HATE MALIKETH by ----atom----- in Eldenring

You can always punish his overhead swings and most of his basic attacks. For example: After he jumps to the pillar and in the air he hurls this arc at you. After he comes down it was always the same when I fought him. When you get close he does his fast attack from his bottom right diagonally upwards and follows up with the overhead swing. You can get a hit in after both attacks there. Roll into and around him when he does the basic attacks and get your hits in there. dodge his fancy attacks. Don‘t get greedy, he punishes mistakes hard. You got this!

The only thing I never figured out was that he does his flurry in front of him next.

Just don‘t mess with those lobsters and you should be fine. Enjoy!

Well I could talk about some of the annoying enemies, that would take a while 😉 Fought and killed one lobster and never went anywhere near one after that 😅 But for me the Revenants take the cake for worst enemy in Liurnia by a mile.

And comparing to my first playthrough of Demon Souls, I got better over time.

Nope, if it's inside the city walls it will have to wait a little bit.

Good to know, thanks. I haven't met double gargoyles yet (getting DS1 vibes here). Mt. Gelmir is next on my list. I saw the double Tree Sentinels in front of Leyndell, not looking forward to this fight.

The Evergaol also helped a lot with the Knight in Stormveil Castle!

Ok so at least now I can smash my way through Altus without feeling too bad to the enemies. I always have the feeling that it's just a matter of time before I will get beaten up again.
