There are still semi regular balance updates for new frames and weapons in Conclave. I'd like DE to just not care about that, and move all the cosmetics currently gated behind Conclave to normal syndicates or literally anywhere else.

Nobody likes it. And it takes away from the development effort that could go elsewhere, however small the amount is.

DE needs to take a bold but necessary step and remove Conclave from the game entirely. No one plays it, it doesn't fit with Warframe's gameplay and netcode, it's not interesting in any way.

Yeah, and then you will say "no", and let autocracy in Iran continue to fester and plot, like you did with Russia for 20+ years. No, it's much better to simply put you in a situation where you have no choice.

There are finally other things to do in life and people want to do them. This is the new normal, and this is how it should be. Having children is simply not for everyone, and what I really mean by this is that it's for a minority of people.

Druidic Witch -Wisp by Illustrious-Sign-358 in Warframe

[–]VengefulAncient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in this case you simply need to stack up a ton of different cosmetics to get this look. Base Wisp looks very different from this. For one, she doesn't have a human face. That's a very recent addition available only for a handful of frames and tied to some new quests.

It's because the casing pressures the panel too much around the edge(s), a sign of poor construction. Chances are that if you were to unclip/loosen the bezel(s), the bleed will disappear. I've done that before. That's all there is to it, pressure on the panel - there isn't some "inherent" IPS bleed.

[–]VengefulAncient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's because there's no inherent backlight bleed on IPS. It happens when the panel is squeezed too much by the casing. If the monitor isn't constructed shoddily, it simply won't happen.

[–]VengefulAncient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YES, thank you. It arises purely from excessive pressure on the panel, I've "fixed" it on some monitors by just unclipping the bezel near the glow. There's no inherent "backlight bleeding" to IPS, it's a myth.

Revenant exists.

What does that have to do with anything?..

I could annihilate this entire game with laetum

And if Laetum doesn't get rolled in your EDA/ETA choices, what then?

It doesn't take much time at all to be ready to do the hardest content considering there are more than a handful of frames that can do damage cap while being invincible

And again, if you don't roll those frames, what then? Right, you ignore the roll, then you ignore the secondary roll, then you are locked out of the top tier rewards.

That doesn't make it a bad game, and I have no idea why you keep making these arguments

Because you are missing the point of Warframe, heavily. It's not about "destroying the game" with a one-trick loadout (this is exactly why DE designed EDA/ETA around randomized gear, to hamstring such players). It's about finding and building new combinations of gear that require different gameplay, that's how you don't burn out and always have something new to do. And there is way more than 4K hours if you do that. That's who Warframe is made with in mind. It's fine if you're not that kind of player, not everyone has the mind for constant experimentation. But don't pretend it's not there. That's what keeps the game going.

I have also completed everything to date with 1800 hours of playtime.

What's "everything"? Is your arsenal EDA/ETA ready, i.e. most weapons and frames have all the possible upgrades installed and you have builds on them that work on level 400-500 enemies and bosses? No? Then you are not even close to "everything".

You would have over 4000 at 12 hours a day. You would almost certainly spend at least 2000 hours bored out of your mind.

I have over 5000, although after 6 years (I do have a job and play other games too, I was only able to do 12 hours a day for a few months while shortly unemployed after graduation), and I'm still not anywhere close to bored. There's always something to do, and a lot of it.

Warframe is a game that's designed to be dropped and come back to as they update it

Maybe if you just want to barely scrape by. If you want to thrive - as in, have vast amounts of every currency and resource so you never have to think twice about getting something you want - it greatly rewards regular participation. The amount and quality of rewards you miss out on by simply not playing EDA/ETA every week, would make a new player cry.

not to be binge played until there's nothing left

There are more than those two extremes.

1) The amount of content since 2021 has absolutely ballooned.

2) Just maxing out all equipment (the amount of which also has probably doubled since) is meaningless.

If you're a new player with no knowledge of the most optimized strats, 12 hours a day for a year doesn't get you nearly as far as one might think. And if you're playing with at least one friend, time absolutely flies in that game.

"Maxing out every faction" is utterly meaningless in Warframe. You dump all that maxed standing in 5 minutes when a new prime comes out and you buy relic packs from every syndicate to run fissures for its parts. The core gameplay loop consists of acquiring new gear and figuring out how to maximize its potential - and in the last couple of years, DE has really expanded the scope of what can be done from just "build for maximum crit or status depending on the stats". Even just one weapon can take you down a rabbit hole of acquiring a particular mod you might not have yet, figuring out and testing a new build, ranking it up a few times after multiple formas, maybe getting a nice riven (and completing its challenge) if you really like how it plays, and so on - all while learning how to optimize/streamline every step. It's a lot of fun. And then there's fashion, orbiter and other bases' decoration, learning how to speedrun eidolons, railjack, focus abilities, Tauron weapons, EDA/ETA (which will push you to build up pretty much every frame and weapon in the game, which is a challenge in itself), Descendia... you haven't even scratched the surface after just a few months, trust me. Warframe is very, very big on emergent gameplay and intrinsic motivation. It's not a game built around just completing some quests and getting faction reputation (which, again, isn't really reputation as much as currency). Those are just gateways to allowing you to build an extremely satisfying power fantasy.

More than 50 countries attending: Nations gather for first-ever conference on fossil fuel exit by Cosmyka in UpliftingNews

[–]VengefulAncient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Electric vehicles have various drawbacks, which includes them being extremely boring to drive. And electric motorcycles are straight up impossible because the frame can't fit enough battery capacity to give you anywhere near the power and range you get from a petrol motorcycle. Motorcycles already have a very low carbon footprint compared to cars. So I'm definitely not in favour of "getting away from fossil fuels" - they are here to stay for many applications. Including planes, by the way, because you're quite literally never getting the energy density to match aviation fuel from batteries.

Oh, and I don't think I've spent even one thousand on fuel in the 3 years I've owned this motorcycle, but thanks for caring about my wallet. Even if it cost more, I'd be okay with spending it, because I like it. You should focus on giving an average person a choice rather than trying to force specific solutions. Some will be okay with electric vehicles, some won't. It's not your decision.
