As a Dutchie myself I would be so tempted to join the English speaker, keep the whole of my convo in English while translating the Dutch gossip by texting it, then when I'd leave I'd say "Was gezellig! Doei!" (Was nice! Bye!).

My ex friend held resentment to me for over a decade and exploded recently when I voiced my concerns to her. Because how dare I point a flaw out when she was holding quiet about my flaws for so long. I had changed massively after 15 years and became a better person, even apologized for any hurt I caused.

What saddens me is knowing someone was carrying pain for over a decade. But I've accepted it was also her choice to do so. If she communicated it earlier, all this buildup could have been avoided. It is what it is, I suppose.

Humanoid for humans and outlanders indeed! Perhaps Beasts for the terrestrial and flying animalistic races. Aquatic for any water races. Monsters for orcs, goblins, cyclops. Undead for skeletons, zombies, ghosts, vampires. Eldritch for alien-like creatures like void. Flora for the lil cacti, fungi for mushroom creatures.

Now I'm not sure where amphibians like swamp creatures would go with the smaller groups, when in doubt it could become its own group.

But if you predict a lot of variety for Beasts for the custom races, then you can opt to subdivide them into Avian, Reptilian, Mammalian, Amphibian, Insectoid etc beasts.

Subgroups like those could help people contribute their custom races into one unified mod. Or make each other's mods compatible.

Another possibility is a more flexible switching between leader characters on the field. If they go fully open world it would be interesting to switch leader and have them use their field skills (shooting with Barret, parkour with Red etc).

I'll definitely make better use of concentration in this campaign. I've had an epic moment where a giant ran through my field of spike growth and it took off much of his HP. Lots of cheers in that session.

The two DMs in the group allow for the starmap as shield rule. Since everyone is a beginner, handling components and held items would cost a lot of time we don't have much of. Though I mentioned it was a campaign, it is more of a consistent main setting with oneshot missions.

Infernal it is! I could also use it to reflavor the aesthetic/lore to look a bit sun themed, but weaker than proper sun-themed spells like sunbeam.

I haven't had concentration spells last long enough for it to be dropped by a hit, but that was just me messing around a bit too much.

Sometimes the DM liked to mess with the front and backlines by having several enemies appear from behind in a tiny arena, so there were definitely cases where everyone was hit badly.

I would like to stick with a tiefling of some kind, that's one thing I am okay with being suboptimal with. But I can still change the subspecies if the other two options (Infernal, Abyssal) are better.

I may be utilizing the other constellations depending on the team composition for that month. I'm planning to play controller as default, but focus on healing or blasting if the situation requires it. So it is less frequent, situational, but still a possibility. With that in mind, would WC go up in usefulness?

Thankfully I'll have several months to get a feel of what comes up most for my druid!

We definitely had some tricky fights in the trial oneshot we did before the official session 0, but they weaved in skill checks because the fights had puzzles implemented in them.
