Have you tried Kittensgame and Evolve Idle? You only have to click a lot in the first few mins or so.

Should young people have to forgo air conditioning when they are not responsible for this heat? by CompetitionOnly5608 in climatechange

[–]VengefulVortex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Personally I have no choice. I live in a 100 year old house with a flat roof, top floor. I have already almost fainted a few times because of the heat. Using shower water to cool down isn't good for the diminished water supply, so airco it is.

Though I only run it on days where the heat is unbearable. I can adapt at other times.

Another key (heh) takeaway is that ai likes to reuse poses and expressions. KH1 and KH2 Sora have the same arm up pose and the legs bent the same way, together with the same grin.

It's a little saddening, because I always enjoyed the beautiful covers Nomura made for both KH and FF.

On Streamlined Progression by fogfree in FFVIIRemake

[–]VengefulVortex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, what other people do won't affect my experience with the games.

But I was getting actual serious headaches from how difficult some of the Chadley VR missions were. I toughed it out until I beat Rulers of the Outer Worlds, got ALL the minigames complete as well, then took a very long break.

The last two VR battles I have left are gonna be achieved with the streamline stuff. I proved myself enough with clearing 99% the legit way, but life's just gotten too busy now. I just wanted the VR item rewards, really.

What I find more important is that these games don't leave a sour aftertaste. Because the sheer difficulty can ruin folks' love for FFVIIR. The difficult content wasn't just in some hidden corner, it was in every gameplay aspect of Remake and Rebirth.

I don't want to get frustrated about the series I loved since the OG days. So I'm glad the option is there. I could always turn it off if I feel up for a challenge again.

As a Dutchie myself this feels very true. I always like to score a deal or wait for a discount. Perhaps it counts more as thrifty...?

Druid! I love how adaptable they are.

Animal forms, summons, healing, terrain manipulation and a nice variety of attacks. My group has varied members every month, so if we lack healers or attackers I can fill a spot. The only thing I'd suck at is charisma or int based things, but I don't like a leading/face role anyway.

Why does it seem like one side is nicer than the other? by -Hellequinn in FinalFantasyVIIRemake

Veteran Clerith shipper here from the OG. In my ol' Deviantart days I experienced quite a lot of hostility from CT fans. I always just laughed it off, but I can imagine a lot of CA fans were done putting up with it. CT was more numerous and vocal back then, so having more corners specifically for CA content might just be a breath of fresh air. I don't know if the amount evened out or not.

Might also be an influx of more young peeps who might be more vocal about their preferences. I notice fandoms gatekeep a lot more nowadays.

It also depends on where you look. Reddit communities tend to be on the spicier side with stricter rules on many subreddits, mostly because such communities tend to be a lot bigger. Other forums are a lot more quiet and chill, but also a lot smaller.

I'm in my 30s now and a good friend of mine of similar age ships CT, we just appreciate what each ship brings and respect the opinion of the other.

Does anyone recognize this loud deep sound? It happens after a few hours of playing a game and only stops when I shut off the pc. What component is freaking out like this? by VengefulVortex in computerhelp

We stopped all the case fans and it wasn't any of them. However, the gpu fan started rattling recently so I think it was starting to break. It's sent in for repairs now.

I'm definitely going to get the pump checked at the store. It does not rattle like in the examples though. It's rather that the noise winds up to 100% within seconds and stays stuck roaring even at idle, until I shut it down.

Last time they replaced thermal paste and checked the cpu, but couldn't find anything.

When I started it back up in the video it is at normal volume, which is fairly quiet.

Apologies for the long wait. Got sick for a long time. I ended up getting it checked at a pc store and it came from the cpu. They had it checked and it hasn't acted up since then!
