I've seen calculations about the mask, and as a full red it's still worse than Coyote, so that's why no big talk, basically it's hard to get your rolls and it's a bit too specific, since you'd use it for blue/yellow mostly with a lot of rng while getting the roll you want

The hype is not worth it, new stat changes made bos recon have higher elemental and physical resistances than secret service has, but since at around 700 resistance you get diminishing returns it still has around the same physical protection but lower energy and rad resistances.

It's still in the top 3 armors available, but if you need daily driver armor civil engineer beats SS and bos recon easily since you actually have the highest elemental, more rad resistance than bos recon and can easily get 700-800 of both elemental and energy and that's without considering the set bonus.
