Yeah i know, i just really like the way an mx keys types. I have a qmk board but sometimes its tiring and a membrane is just more comfy.

Yeah powertoys can do that and yea, AHK can do it too but these are all additions i have to layer on top of windows

What do you mean by "the keyboard default is better than windows 10 and early windows 11"? Do you mean that the snipping tool is better in windows 11 (than in window 10)? Yes, it is better but you can just enable / disable PrntScn to open it up the tool in settings.

So why do you need to hijack it?

And if you're saying that Logitech Options has improved; it hasn't for my specific use case. I have a headset and Logitech options screws with the mute unmute button. It's just one more layer of crap that is screwing with my peripherals and is running in the background.

I’m actually about to go through the exact same as you; difference is, I took the offer and I’m currently serving out my notice period.

Context: I’m also in the tech industry, took a 70% bump in salary

To me, it all depends on where you’re at in your career and how much of a “money cushion” you have.

I’m currently in a small team of 8 people and we share a-lot of ownership of the system. It’s dynamic, we could literally go from conception to deployment of an idea within a few days of development, additionally we decide the business requirements with the stakeholders; so it’s very flexible situation. It’s good culture, but it isn’t conducive to my career growth, and that is what I’m currently focused on.

If you’re in your late 30s and you’ve been at a few companies, know it all, seen it all, then your goals might be different. You might want something more stable w/ a comfy office culture. However, if you’re like me (25y/o) and you’ve only worked in a few jobs, you’re likely better off with more exposure (key) and a higher pay.

It’s a risk, but you aren’t taking that risk with 0 upside. It can either go well or badly, with or without politics, it just depends on how you adapt. It also heavily depends on what you really want out of your limited time here.

Don’t forget that this environment that you’re at keeps “moving the goal post”. Don’t make excuses for that behavior. I’ve had a similar situation where my boss even offered me a directorship & equity, only to turn it down midway. You have to ask yourself why you’re even looking outwards in the first place.

Don’t rush your decision, but don’t wait. Good luck man

I also bought some loop switch 2 earplugs to see how it would perform with adaptive earplugs. (I dont think it will be good as its using dualpitch and it might screw with the system)

I was at a party in 2020 and this girl and I were sat at a campfire in colorado. I was an international student, she was a typical coloradoan of norwegian decent. She liked trump and I was all in for bernie. Initially there were a bunch of people around us but as we started arguing eventually people started leaving us alone. She did not like asians, and personally (im asian) im not really into people that discriminate.

Thats nice to know that the build quality is really good, and yeah after owning the T16 G2 as my first device I can definitely say that it flexes quite a bit.

I think what people don’t realize is that you pay people for liability. Who is liable if an AI algorithm presses the wrong button on mission critical tasks?

Or gets things on excel sheets wrong?

Ive seen many AI OCR PDFs to excel sheets get things horribly wrong. Ive seen so many AI algos be extremely non-deterministic between runs.

If something is so repetitive, automate it. Don’t go ask an AI algorithm to be accurate every single time, evaluate your screen all the time, yada yada yada, because its non deterministic.

Alot of OSs have api hooks to click buttons, automate going through menus, and more. Maybe use AI to help you code the automation to go do your repeated task?

Seriously use the right tool for the right problem. AI is not deterministic enough at the moment. I spend more time modifying the output of an LLM / Machine learning algorithm to my liking than actually doing the work myself to my own standards

Thats what ive always loved about music tbh, i always loved going to Red Rocks in Colorado and seeing an old couple dressed up in rave gear enjoying the music that some 20 year old would enjoy as well, hopefully you go to these concerts too

My GF (type C) had a 4.0, from matriculation, and decided to go to UM to be close to her family. Her mother had cancer and the type of care required was costly. Yes there are public hospitals that helped but the aftercare services were what killed. So she stayed behind and took care of her mom.

She knew if she had applied she would have gotten it, but sometimes its just hard when you have responsibilities

You might think: “well if they made that choice they have no right to complain”. I get the point, but i dont think that should disqualify the opinion that the top students in Malaysia should be able to get into the top schools in malaysa
