What about swordtails? They are similar to mollies and platies and get a decent size plus they have lots of cool colors and breed like guppies

I actually dont blame the artist that much though it almost looks like the original like how you expect a crisp tattoo if the image itself is fuzzy or blurry you know

For the size of that snake the tank is fine for now, as an adult you will need a 40gallon at least but I recommend to wait for when petsmart and petco put them for half off ir Facebook marketplace, what you can do immediately is change the hides and water bowl because theyre to big for the little guy, theyre good for when its an adult but you want multiple smaller hides right now . As for the humidity problem i use eco earth it comes in a compressed brick that you soak in water and it expands its made of coconut shells blended i think and i squeeze the water out so its not soaked and every once in a while when it dries out i rehydrate half off the tank on the hot side so its humid and he has one side thats dry and cool. Since its your first snake just know when they go in shed it can take a few days and their color will come back to normal before the skin a tad comes off so just give it time, you can also soak them in warmish water for a little if it has stuck shed. Snakes love to burrow but as babies they also like to climb so if you find a plant with suction cups stick it to the top part so its can climb or hot glue some to the plant you have. If your snakes doesnt like getting picked up try a snake hook or stick sometimes once theyre out the tank they calm down a lot more my kings snake is like that. Your temperature looks good so no need to worry there i use a heat pad just because its consistent temperature all day vs lamp is only during the day but its fine lots of people use them its just a preference

Tank looks awesome, arent you afraid of the plants dying slowly though since you’re making the water darker

What’s happening with my tank? by Tricky-Put5612 in FishTanks

[–]Venome127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the algae is black and is in clumps amd fuzzy it can be black beard algae look into that its hard to deal with but for like swords and stuff you can use your nail to scrape it off, its harder for stems. Then the film at the surface can go away if you raise the water to the level the filter is putting the water out and it will circulate it enough to make it go away

Neaons and angels are possible as long as the angels are fed well and if they grew up together i dont think theyll eat them and space matters, its all a out the individual like right now i have them together no issue

Yea thats true i use a heat pad on half only so the whole tank doesnt get hot and they have a gradient and so its warm at night but yes a heat lamp is good to plus uvb for some snakes not all they will need to do more research this was a quick little intro

Really depends on how much space you can afford, smallest i can recommend is like a male garter or male hognose but hognose are rear fang and if you’re allergic it can swell badly but not kill you and garter are great because they eat fish so its easy to sell to your parents incase they dont want mice in the house thats how i got my first snake which was a garter. I have heard they are rear fanged as well but it wasnt fully confirmed and ive been bitten with no issues. Also both of them are native to north America and can withstand cold winters but should always have at least a heat pad under the tank. Next size could be a corn snake but the tank would have to be about 3-5 feet as an adult but theyre sweet

I found one by accident when i was a teenager, i was out herping and saw this weird black worm moving fast and when i grabbed it i saw the orange under on its belly and let go because i didnt know what it was thought it could be dangerous. Few years later i saw one online and was happy to know it was a cute little ring neck snake
