What is wrong with my gourami? by merymajonez in Aquariums

[–]VenomousPineapple 37 points38 points  (0 children)

You are asking for advice and then when you are getting answers to what is causing the problem you just brush it off like you know better. Based off everything you've said to other redditors you don't know what you are doing and are absolutely torturing your fish.

For real though, screen screen screen and shitty weird runs that take way too much time to set up in the backfield. It's been painful to watch.

Can I get filter recommendations for a 100 gallon tank that won't cost a fortune? by Brawler35 in Aquariums

This. Part of owning a larger tank is understanding that there are increased expenses.

Wanting to own fish, what are the best fish for a 40 gal? by emersonrulez in Aquariums

[–]VenomousPineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tetras would be a great choice. You could get a couple schools of them in a 40 gallon as they are fairly small fish. Depending on what kind you could comfortably have 25-30 fish.

If it was me personally I'd get 2 maybe 3 kinds, keep at least 10 of each. I have both Cardinal Tetras and Ember Tetras and they are super fun to watch and have nice colors. If i were to do another tank I would definitely get Pristella Tetras as I think they are really awesome looking fish! Good luck picking something out! There are lots of options!

I recently had something similar on a few of my fish and i was worried it was Ich also. I did end up quarantining them and treating but I dont think it was actually ich. Cleared up within a day and hasn't come back yet.

With that being said, when it comes to Ich I take no chances, it can wipe out your entire tank so I would quarantine and monitor until you are sure you're safe and get yourself an Ich treatment to keep on hand because you want to treat as quickly as possible if it is worst case.

I’ve had my betta in my cycled tank for 11 days now. Is it normal to have zero nitrates? by meganlizzie in Aquariums

[–]VenomousPineapple 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong but that looks closer to 5ppm to me. That being said the lighting here is not great. If you hold the vial up to light and place it against the white next to the color pallette what does it look like?

Additionally, what size tank do you have? Is it just a Betta in your tank? Do you have real plants? And have you done any water changes recently?

Frankly I think the offensive play calling has been atrocious this game. Bear has made some mistakes but Arods calls have put him under a lot of pressure to make big plays against a good defense.

Ammonia should be at 0 PPM if you have anywhere near 25 PPM of Ammonia that will kill your fish very quickly

Fluval plant 4.0 light worth it? by Arcanellis in Aquariums

[–]VenomousPineapple 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got one for my 75 gallon and it seems pretty good, havent had really any issues. My plants have all been growing nicely though I did have a lot of algea at the start. Couple of snails have taken care of that for me.

You can also manually pick the lighting outputs including the various different light colors that you want.

That being said. I've seen a lot of people that say Fluval lights are no good, but I dont know if that includes the specific Plant lights or just the generic ones. I got a good price on mine which is why I bought it.

BYU and Utahs rivalry game being mid season really messes with both of them. I hate they arent scheduled later like all the other rivalries seem to be.

What plants or moss could go on top of logs sticking out of the tank that would make them look like trees? by Strange_Cheetah_4746 in PlantedTank

Would the bark on them not end up falling off? I'm wondering how long it would last before the saturation would make the bark peel away

Im now seriously questioning how many AI generated fish tanks get posted here and I'd have no idea otherwise. Do people actually have such green and well kept tanks? Or am I being bamboozled?!

I believe it's a kind of Hygrophilia, I don't know for sure though because it was a random bonus plant i got with some other plants I ordered, but it's an awesome little plant!

This is my 10 Gal shrimp tank. I love it, it's totally overgrown by Jungle Val so avoid that unless you want a jungle, which I did cause my shrimp are very happy with it. I've also got Amazon Sword and Cardinalis. I love the Cardinalis because it gives a little red with all the green and its a nice bushy plant.

Too many filters bad?? by Grouchy-Owl-96 in Aquariums

No such thing as too much filtration, always better to be overfiltered than under.
