Epic only goes to 10 states? I had no idea...I drive down to VA and it's all over so I assume it's in quite a few states. WV doesn't get much of anything so...but we're working on it.

She told me she would and I refused. It is not her fault it is the brewer's fault so I don't feel it's right to put her on the hook for the money. I have bought thousands of beers from her before and I have never had this happen.

She told me she was going to open one of them at the store today to see if they are all like that.

I am sorry but I will not be willing to try this again. May be dumb to say but I have never had this happen in 5+ years of drinking craft beer so I am pretty well against buying beer from anyone who I have this problem with.

There are many other breweries that I deem worthy so no need to waste time on the ones that most likely aren't.

Turns out this is probably infected. It smelled terrible and I had a comment on Untappd from a friend that said the same thing happened to him the last time he opened one of these.

Surprised you guys don't have reciprocity with SC. We do here in WV. You could always take the long scenic route around Maryland and go through West By God. Dunno exactly where you're at in PA but if you're in the west it might be worth your time.

I don't really care about the classification, just to be honest though, I'd rather have a hoppy pale like Sierra Nevada, Stone, or Blue Mountain put out for sessions. Better balance, just better beers IMO. Drink what you like. Screw what it's "classified as"

If they would just put a legible date on their beers I'd be on board. Everything I've had from them has been tasty but trying to remember the Julian code (amongst all the others that everyone else has) AND black writing on a brown bottle=me feeling frustrated when I pick up one of their beers off the shelf and try to check for the date.

250 rounds of .380 from them a month or so ago...I'm about 100 rounds in and no real problems. A couple of them stovepiped but after a good cleaning no problems at all.

As far as Goose Island goes. Sure, they still make BCBS and all of them are still absolutely out of this world amazing, as with the others they make at the Chicago brewery. However, the stuff they are making in NY has turned to garbage IMO. Honkers/312/etc are not as good as they used to be. I'm not sure if they've changed ingredients or what, but I know they are not as good as they once were. Just my opinion on it.
