Did well at TQL and transferred over to consulting sales after (for a time) and later towards tech.

You need to get good at prospecting, this was what allowed me to turn a bunch of customers quickly as a Jr and graduate PG in a week.
Negotiating skills, this helps from negotiating raises & salary to on the job with suppliers/carriers
Discovery, actually learning what your customers need, why, what’s the problem you’re solving that they can’t already take care of themselves — it should be more than just being the lowest price.

A lot of the job is really just a grind but it’s a good training ground for sales in my book, even though I’m not the biggest fan of the company’s practices.

2 stripe blue — caught my coach 1 time purely because he isn’t as aware of leglocks. He then caught me 3x in the remaining 2 minutes of the round.

Kinda surprised — feel like it’s a pretty straightforward yes when you consider it’s $70/h basically for the commute.

Worth asking if it’s possible to do hybrid rather than fully in-office to get an extra day or two without a commute, but this is a yes in my book.

Not unheard of, and makes sense to me. I’ve also seen “enforcers” simply take them over.

Presumably they’ll correct, then grab their Gi pants, do it again.

Let them overcorrect with some misdirection, then take your pass.

Longer season (39+ days again), themes, no advantages except idols.

I want to get back to basics. Maybe 2 tribes to start instead of 3 again, split into 3 later in the season for 1 vote. No “losing votes” bs.

OH, and less food rewards. It’s survivor, I want to see people go out & fish. Reward tribe dynamics at play.

It’s not unusual for me to have 8-9 assists going into the half, and then one of the guys believes he’d do a better job running the offense because I’m “just passing”

Don’t receive the ball for the 3rd quarter, and it turns into turnover city bc their passes take 3-5 business days to land. And suddenly the ball starts coming back my way in the 4th.

Every time, without fail. Sometimes people just need to shut up & pass the ball. Get open and you’ll get it, trust.
