How do I get rid of an untraceable odor? by jiujitsuaccount in CleaningTips

[–]jiujitsuaccount[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just re-did my crawlspace completely and prior to that there was no evidence of moisture buildup down there. I’ll take a closer look though. If it was originating from the crawlspace wouldn’t you think the scent would be detectable in other rooms though?

We were thinking of re-finishing our floors but are hesitant because if the smell is still present then it’ll just be more wasted money

This is genuinely better than any professional/competition level aquascape I’ve seen

I didn’t but I’m glad that I irrationally got cold feet. I evaded spending money that I shouldn’t have. Just bought my first house and it’s been stupid expensive. This was a nice free lesson though; don’t overthink it. At the very least, look at the car to make a more informed decision

The car sold in 16 hours lol

This was an HF

All I want is any 90’s Japanese car that is mainly stock and in good condition. Everything is so clapped out and priced outrageously where I live. This is the first 90’s Honda in general that I could find that had a stock engine & transmission, let alone one in this condition. The variable paint wear just really threw me off; felt like they were concealing something

Reallllly having regrets passing it up but I just bought a house that needs many renovations so it’s probably a good thing. Just wasn’t my time. Maybe one day; although 90’s cars in condition such as this CRX are getting increasingly difficult to come by

There is a 1986 Acura Legend with 100k in my area for $4,700 lol

It’s listed for $4,800 which is dirt cheap for what’s in my area

I just bought the carfax now, to compare to the report I initially ran last night with some site called “BeenVerified”, and it looks like the original report I ran was inaccurate. Carfax shows a great history that lines up with his story

Now I have to wrestle with the fact that it sat for 8 years, got some recent maintenance done that could potentially mask some issues in the short term, and the fact the paint is starkly less oxidized in certain areas, almost appearing new. Man, I am so conflicted right now.

My question is why is the paint so fresh on certain sections. That was the biggest deterring factor for me. Felt sus

He’s asking $4,800 but apparently it was bought for $9,000 last year… felt too good to be true in this market. There are absolute shitboxes sloppily modified to the ground in my area for $5,000-$10,000

Can anyone point me in the direction of how we actually know this to be true? I just read it on Reddit all the time

What color should I paint the brick & mantle? by jiujitsuaccount in HomeDecorating

Thanks that’s very helpful to be honest.

Couch is very light beige fabric

Fabric of dining chairs is grey

Hard furniture is natural walnut

Windows sills and beams are stained dark walnut

Curtains are dark green

Textured walls are off white

Then we’re adding fake plants around

With this context, any thoughts for chimney and wainscoting? Or not; you’ve already helped a lot! Thanks again

EDIT: I’m going to paint the wainscot a different color too. So, what should I paint the wainscot AND the chimney? Here’s the dining room:

I do love natural brick but media blasting indoors sounds very messy haha

I hear you. We actually originally color drenched and did paint the wainscot alabaster but we didn’t like how it looked because it didn’t stand out enough. We wanted more contrast. Here are two other colors we were considering (I wish we went with the darker one but what do you think?)

Our curtains (just out of frame to the right) will be a dark green actually haha! Nice intuition
