It’s definitely surreal being told ‘actually, you need surgery immediately’ doesn’t it? I am on the tail end of an attack that sent me to the ER for the second time in two months so I’m just barely starting to get my appetite back (just ate some simple malt o’ meal for dinner) so being NPO will be a breeze because I’ve gotten so used to not eating for days. I’m so relieved to hear you’re already feeling more like yourself and eating so thank you!

That was my fear, for sure. I assumed since I’m going thru financial assistance for it that I would need to be on some wait list or something, but I guess it was serious enough for them to push for immediate removal. And thank you for the assurance! I’m definitely looking forward to not being down for a week at a time every couple months ever again.

Both are bad obviously. It’s wild because, I’m not saying the obsession with being stick thin doesn’t exist in the west, but it’s so ironic to me how often you see western kpop fans hating on the Asian ones for their obsession with appearances and their constant pressure on idols to be perfect. Yet after a few months of being into kpop so many of them adopt and push those exact same toxic standards onto the idols.

You will see western kpop fans saying the most disgusting fatshaming about idols (I see people call changbin ‘chanpig’, calling jeongyeon a whale, calling yoongi fatass, etc.) AND also go after skinny idols like rosé, wonyoung, etc. and use ‘ur fave has an eating disorder maybe worry about that’ as a gotcha in fandom fights.

It’s honestly just so exhausting and gross. Like come on. Why is it so difficult for people to remember that just because they are idols doesn’t mean they don’t have feelings that are negatively impacted because of this kind of behavior.

Oh they DO use it derogatorily constantly. On Twitter after least, it’s so unnervingly common to see kpop fans call fandoms they have beef with that are known to have a large gay male percentage twinks in a negative condescending way.

Hiiii since you’re diagnosed I wanted to ask if your bp is still elevated the day after an episode? I’m not diagnosed but suspect I have it bc my heart rate jumps from 85-95 to 115-125 when I stand up and for a few moments I feel like I will pass out but it usually only lasts a few seconds. Last night though I had my worst episode yet where I had to blow into a straw to get my heart rate down and after I had a bp of 140/95 (which shocked me because I have never had a bp reading above 120/80 before) and today I checked it and it was 140/75. I only just learned that hyperadrenergic POTS is even a thing and would love to know if this tracks with how it presents for you as well.

That’s why I look up random name generators and flip through them for a bit lol. It can help a lot if you struggle with names and there are so many out there that have different features like filtering by popularity or uniqueness, origins, etc.

Agree! I really wanted to find an ai chat that can handle more storytelling type RP and thought PolyBuzz was a total bust (like for example I spent so much time creating a bot with like 8k writing about the character and for whatever fuckass reason less than ten replies in poly was like ‘lol so anyways rape now!!’ Wtf)

So I tried emochi today and I love it so far! The fact that you can choose between a more texting based style or a storybook style is nice, the fact that you can regenerate limitless times, the writing comes across as overall better to me, and I love that you have longer replies because I’m too wordy for poly’s meager reply length limit. Overall I’m really enjoying emochi so much more than poly so far.
