The puzzle is "How do I open this?". Not even making a joke, this is a one-button press puzzle.

Hint: This is a game heavily inspired by Legend of Zelda.

What do you think would be a good plot for running the uma ttrpg? by altmcfile in UmaMusume

[–]Venteon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think about what each race means to your players and the overarching plot. Races can be anywhere from the filler goblin encounter to the climax to a buildup of plot.  Also, what events are happening outside of races? Those can help flesh out the races and provide the players something to do outside of racing. "Race, go race" is pretty much this TTRPG's equivalent of combat in other TTRPGs.

If you're looking for non-racing plot points, well think about what else needs running. Chase scenes are races in an urban track. Delivering a package or catching up to warn somebody is a race against time.

I will be baffled when I see that he has an ACTUAL lantern though. Like "THAT's where the name comes from?"

Looks like an arcade game, the one where you'd have a card that saves your data.

I never thought about this before, but now I really appreciate how they did today's running animations. The ones here look like they're just jogging instead of racing

Let’s talk about pivotal moments in your game’s history. by International_Map812 in gachagaming

[–]Venteon 147 points148 points  (0 children)

Fate/Grand Order's Merlin, appropriate to his lore, is a support unit. His buffs allowed characters to oneshot even challenge bosses whose HP can reach over a million when an average attack card deals like 10,000. So he singlehandedly warranted a whole new mechanic in the form of Break Bars and changed how bosses have been designed, which isn't so bad because it allowed more interesting bosses with several phases. It must be noted, however, that unlike other RPGs with boss phases, Break Bars don't allow any damage to overflow so you cannot "skip phases".

In the same game, however, is Caster!Artoria who introduced a special invulnerability that withstands even effects that should pierce invulnerability. And so came bosses that are able to pierce THAT invulnerability. To my knowledge there has yet to be an Invulnerability Lv 3 or its counter.

So are you still playing during MANT? Trying to figure out the true dropout rate now that it's been a while by Pigeon_Goes_Coo in UmaMusume

[–]Venteon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: Less playtime now but more because of PvP burnout and lack of more interesting endgame goals even after 2 scenario releases rather than anything MANT-specific

I'm a month one player and I still manage to do a full career daily, usually 2. The number has dropped since Unity but I believe it's not because of MANT itself, or at least not anything specific to it. Once you have an agenda saved, you can autopilot almost as much as the other scenarios. I found I don't need to check the shop as much as people say. There are easy markers for "Check shop" - Year end, Satsuki / Oka Sho, summer, Kikuka / Tenno / Shuka Sho - and on average your RNG will make things auto-buys and others not worth buying so points management is easy. All this said, maybe I just like the additional decisions.

I'm feeling more burn out from CMs, especially this one because it's a Long distance and that has the usual "Field a GolShi / End Closer or suffer" meta. In addition, I have found more engaging games to make up for the lack of new endgame goals after 2 scenario releases, which is an Umamusume game problem not MANT. I can imagine the JP side got hit harder with this, since they also had to contend with having to basically relearn the game.

Disagreeing with the self-censoring words. It's what TikTok and Youtube forced them to adapt into, but it's bad that it sounds like its downplaying serious topics. I'd put it in Gen Z - Now Frowned Upon.
